Dual Wield vs Warfare for rogue/shadowblade
Is getting dodge up to 50% or more (by maxing out dual wield and taking parry master) worth it vs the drawback of less damage if you max out warfare instead?

From what I have read, the damage boost from maxing warfare (killing enemies faster) is much better/useful than having a high dodge% (even say 80 or 90%), because enemies will still hit you a good amount even with high dodge% and status effects lower or eliminate dodge. Assume scoundrel is maxed out. Any thoughts?

Warface gives you way more damage, I maxed it first after getting level 3 scoundrel. In most cases you can use Chameleon Cloak and you will be safe. I wouldn't recommend maxing Dual Wield before Warface.

Warafe only gives attack power. Dual wield gives attack + dodge.
I prefer max dual first.

Warfare actually gives you more dmg though, since its is a multiplier while dual wield is only additive. I have heard it can be significantly more damage (like 30% more).

But for a solo character who may need to worry about survivability more, maybe the chance to avoid damage is more valuable than even a 30% damage increase?

Weapon skills are trash. You will get way more damage from maxing skills first untill you hit the soft cap.

Dual Wield provides survivability. Which is great for rogues who need to go deep, or often away from their team.

Warfare is better suited for when your rogue is typically near the team and can afford to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by the enemy.

Warfare gives more damage. That said, I picked Dual Wield specifically to make a high-Dodge Rogue (Dwarf + Parry Master). The high dodge percentage does come in very handy against physical attacks and skills (as well as wand and staff of magus), but it does nothing versus magic spells.

Warfare is a multiplier for the whole of Physical Damage.

When there are 2 or more multipliers, max total value is derived if we get each multiplier the same size.

eg:
Say we have 6 points to spend on 2 multipliers.

Same Size: 3 times 3 = 9
One Bigger: 5 times 1 = 5

In both cases, same 6 points spent. Nearly double the output in the better case.

So it's going to give us the best results if the Warfare value is sized to match up the summation value of the other multipliers.

In other words, ONLY putting points into Finesse + Dual Wield and excluding Warfare will give suboptimal damage output. This is because the effects of Finesse and Dual Wield are added up, then multiplied by the Warfare factor.

Yes dodge is sweet, but killing ennemies faster is even sweeter. In my opinion the best use of a rogue is to max his damage so warfare it is. Being able to pick a target a kill it in one turn is too good to pass up.
