Arena of the One bug? Stuck in combat.
After defeating the fussy Gods after Dallis did her little thing, I found that I was stuck in combat.

Constantly Lava Eruptions are occuring and I am unable to proceed.

I watched a cutscene showing Malady rescuing the party after I reached her beacon, but now all of the people on the boat have been added to the battle.

Gareth, Malady, and Jahan are all taking turns doing nothing on the Lady Vengeance. And the game keeps flipping back to the ruined Arena of the One so the Lava Eruptions can take their turns.

I've reloaded my save twice, and this has happened each time.

Also unable to flee combat, because there are no available waypoint shrines.


Well, I was able to finally end the combat by having everyone take their turns traveling down to the lowest level of the ship.

After all four of them were down there, I travelled back up to the deck and found everyone else still locked in epic combat with unseen puddles of lava.

But after a few moments, it cleared up and Malady started talking to me.

I had this problem and was stuck on the ship. I had to lower myself down to the bottom most level of the ship to end the combat. I also killed my incarnate but im not sure if that matters.

Edit: also whatever you do, do not summon malady while in this combat bug.

It bugged out for me as well, I was able to clear combat for myself by going below deck, but I summoned Malady before she was out of combat, and when she appeared she was bugged and wouldn't talk to me. Only way was to re-do the whole fight and as the last person on that round, click the shrine. Thanks to whoever gave that tip on this thread.

I got the same bug. I tried without summoning a champion in the fight. It worked that time.

Raze I'm pretty confident the issue is, when you win the fight and still have a summons out and summon Malady, the problem happens and doesn't clear until the summons expire or are killed, then everything kicks in. I was stuck for a while, before trying that bit of adive and that was the key.

Yes, it is related to summons not leaving combat, and keeping party members in combat if they are nearby. This is still being looked into, but should most likely be fixed in the next update (no ETA yet).

Generally, passing turns until the summon despawns should get combat to end and Malady to started a dialog. I tried having the ship summon her, as well, but that didn't cause much problem other than the fight going on longer than usual, with 3 of the 4 party members needing to take the hatch down to the mid deck. Malady, who climbed up to the crow's nest to heal the incarnate I was in the process of killing, still triggered the dialog when approached after that. In any case, problems with summoning Malady will not be an issue once the fixes for the underlying problem are released.

So what does that mean? We can't get past the arena? Every time Red Prince has his turn he won't end it. Even if we did kill him.

I found the same problem, but if you can quicksave, it seems to jumpstart the computer to your turn.

If a save (or save/load) doesn't help, please email support. Unless you are not actually getting control of the Red Prince, you should at least be able to head downstairs or towards the bow of the ship to break out of combat.

The fix we did was all but the host left and entered combat then we rejoined.

I'm having this problem and even when I can get out of combat on the ship I'm still sutck as I cannot "say the word" to leave the boat and go onto the next section. I have redone the fight without summoning anything and it still happens so it's not related to summons.

Or there are more variants. I was able to test it several times and for me the summons was the thing. Unfortuantely, you have something else going on.

Same, game-breaking.

This is the process:
1) get stuck in combat with summons
2) combat doesn't end even if summons are gone
3) get out of combat by going below deck
4) go to the figurehead who summons Malady
5) supposed to go to figurehead again, it just says "say the word", and there are no options to say anything. Talked to my companions already.
