Orc race
I think it would have been cool if they gave the option for an orc race. They were in the first game but im not sure if they were left out because they all died out or something like that. What do you guys think?

They are too easily corrupted by chaos and in turn are the "bad guys" Im sure there will be some in the full game, but this is roughly 1200 years after DS:O.

While Orcs would have been cool. It probably would have been really difficult to make them work with the questing and interactions. I mean look at the whole "hide your body" thing the undead have to do. At least they can pass as a shrouded non-deaf lizard/dwarf/elf/human.

Thats a good point, but that mask that changes your appearance could work well here. Humans would obviously not want to interact with you. But maybe dwarves and elves could have better tolerance that way you could still get through the game properly but still have some hardships being a pretty hated race.

It would have been cool to be able to play as orcs, as I really like orcs just in general. Unfortunately, it's too late for that. If only this thread was made many months earlier...

Still, there's hope in mods, especially if orcs show up later on in the game. If they don't, then it would take a lot of work, as creating a new race from scratch isn't exactly the easiest thing ever.

Im sure theres a reason why they weren't added, most likely because it just wouldn't fit in the game and we havent seen why yet, but I agree, it would have been a fun race to play as.

We've got Goblins.
I'm almost sure we;ll have Orcs.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
sorry.
Orcs aren't considered a civilized race. Its far more likely we'll get Imps.

I could understand not being able to play as them, as they arent exactly intelligent creatures, but it could be possible to have one join your party at some point. Maybe the one you could find was cast out for being actually intelligent and not so much savage, or some other plausible reasoning.

I'd love to play as an imp too, so no problem there.

Either one works for me, both would be cool.

the game doe not force you to be the good guy also orcs are smarter then some of you might think!
in the first game you see a orc burying his fallen brothers also a orc raise by humans in the mayors house is much smarter then some basic bar humans i feel orc and imp would both be nice addition to the game but both should have a similar or less trouble that comes with being undead!
