Cursed gear
Okay, I have some cursed gear, boots of the tyrant I think, I just recieved the Bless spell and put the boots on the floor and blessed them, I was able to wear them and walk normally.
Then I died, and when I tried to do exactly the same thing, it didn't work again.
Is it a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

No the Tyrant set is meant to be cursed and not truly possible to be worn. Every piece of gear has a different side effect that heavily impair you one even cause a combat to happen when you use it several times. I don't know if in the full release there will be a way to do something with the gear but as far as I know for now it's only "fakely good" items.

I was under the impression that you can uncurse these items already in EA somehow. But I didn't fiddle with it much, to be fair. They become obsolete very soon anyway. Great idea though.

Well yeah you can use bless and it temporarily removes the curse but you get the curse back over and over as long as you re-equip the items (and I actually think it comes naturally back over time, not sure about this one). Maybe I missed a proper purifying of the items I don't know. But as you said those items are actually not that good aside from the source vampirism some offer (and still we will have much better options later into the game so pointless)

Allegedly the curse goes away if you use the complete set. I never tried it as I don't find the armor considerably appealing.

I never even found the whole set, despite running through the first act like 3 times proper and 2 times partially.

And I don't think I'm gonna find it on release -- the burning desire to get to act II asap hurts too bad.

All curses are removed as long as you wear the full set.
The cursed ring however does not count towards the set for some reason and thus isn't required to ignore the curse but also won't have its curse removed when you have all other pieces.

I never found more than two of the armor parts and I always sold the evil ring. I heard you can use it in the Maze, is there another benefit from it?
the first set is great if you collect them early on. not that great towards the end of fort joy. the purge skill the armor set grants is nice when using your source magic for the first times though. During a play through make them a priority to complete the set and its pretty kick ass set for the first 6 lvls

Holy crap dude, this thread predates the actual release of the game.

I think by about a day or two. I bought the early access. Mad to see people still replying to this thread though.:steamhappy::steamhappy:
