In all seriousness though, I don't think you're the only one. Personally I would rather take a different origin character (and will probably do once more options are available).
You don't need to befriend her. Just use her dark, strong powers to reach your own dark RP goals.
She proves herself strong and capable
She spares you for whatever reason and their is most likely a motive to uncover
Her backstory hits a few really good plot hooks to make you want to get to know the character
(Which for the psychopath seems surprisingly human,And you get that Whole opening up slowly but surely experience which is awesome because it will make the choice of becoming a possible god even more taxing for you)
And other things as well
Rp Reasons:
Fear,Maybe not kill but avoid
Respect/Debt/Overcome she proves herself stronger than you in that movment so you either respect that, pay back her kindness,Or become the stronger person.
Take what allies you can get and most of them have their flaws which is great story wise
Lol Here's my sphill,That i thought when i first met her.
It is an island full of dangerous crazies.
If you talk to her on the ship, she is a lot more playful and friendly.
i kill her every time... is no reason to spare her she's threatening me she needs to die...
She attacks member of skilled party (more skilled than she).
Couldn't even make a step.
Mostly agree with OP.
You could sympathise with her after what she's been through.
Why take the Red Prince? He is clearly a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who thinks of you as a slave.
Why take Lohse? She is obviously nuts and dangerous to have around with that demon in her head.
That leaves Ifan, but who can trust a Lone Wolf assassin on a mission?
Why take anybody at all from a rp point of view?
"Allies of circumstance" might be the best way to describe their joining your party. You need to survive the horrors of Fort Joy, so why wouldn't you take every asset at your disposal when you've nothing else to lose but your life ?
Even the fellowship of the ring was formed by an eclectic bunch of grumpy guys with their own agenda and view on the matter in the first place, when you think about it.
Think of it as Suicide Squad 2.0, idk x)
