Fast travel
Is there not any way to teleport to shrine/waypoints like the first game? I can flee, which puts me at the last one I used, but if that works, there should surely be a way to fast travel to them? I think for convenience it should definitely be in this one too.

You can travel from waypoint to waypoint.

I meant travel from anywhere directly to a waypoint. In the first game, there's a menu you can use at will to travel to any known waypoint whenever you want.

that was a ability granted by the two pyramids in OS1, which aren't in OS2 so far. At this point, I'm pretty sure there is no way to fast travel except by speaking to a fast travel statue.

Yeah, that was because of the pyramids. Maybe when the full game is out, there will be a similar system once you get off the island.

heres to horrible responses! its even in the key bindings. the homestead key used to do it in the first game. it wont work for me here. first game you had to be granted some power to do it by ziziziziz or his witchy fairy friend

The pyramids will be back at some stage of the game. They are just not there yet. :)

I thought I found 3 at the ship after act 1? Maybe I'm remembering wrong, it was a while ago.

There might be pyramids in the game physically (to be honest I don´t remember), but they will not be active so far.

I doubt there will be fast travel directly to waypoints from anywhere. IMO that made the world feel really small after a while and many things felt kind of inconsequential (like feeling trapped) since you could just jump to a waypoint at any time (except the mine). Of course, it was really convenient, but D:OS2 should be more interesting to run around in so that should be less needed.

Four pyramids will help replace anywhere waypoint travel as well.

I think it would make no sense to have pyramids and no fast travel though. Couldn't you drop one next to a waypoint and then use the waypoint? Seems like the same as fast travel but with one extra step.

Next to your minimap in the top right of the screen is a little anchor icon. Click on this to travel directly to any waypoint from wherever you are :)

You answer a question that was posted 7 months ago, when the game was still in early access...

It still comes up first when you Google waypoint travel. Might be helpful for others who have not realised how to do this yet. Thanks for being the forum police though.
