Can't reset my progress

I have a problem in local campaign mode (single player). I'm trapped in the celtic sea level. So I tried to reset my progress under options. After restarting the game, I'm still in the celtic sea level.
Also I tried reinstal, but still the same problem. Any hints?

Try deleting this folder:

\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Local\ROA2\Saved\SaveGames\

I deleted the folder, but I'm still in the celtic sea. What else can I delete or do?

Hmm, delete it again and make sure to disable cloud sync. I wonder why delete progress button didn't work for you.

How are you trapped, anyway? Boulder stuck, can't move?

Disabling steam synchronisation then brought the solution.
No stucking boulder. With the game play is everything ok. Just no money/stars to move to other places.
Just for information. I bought ROA1 and ROA2 in a bundle with the classic DLC. Bought it under account A on computer 1, play it under account A on Computer b. Maybe this is helpful.

I couldn't reset the progress properly on mine either with cloud sync enabled. Progress reset by showing 0 stars and the intro video to the campaign played but the boulder position on the wolrd map remained the same. It didn't go back to the beginning. Only way around it was disabling cloud sync and deleting local save

Just tried resetting progress multiple times.

If you reset progress and quit game, then the progress doesn't reset.

If you reset progress and start the campaign, you start from the beginning with everything reset including the boulder position. But if you don't start the campaign and quit game, then the progress doesn't stay reset when you launch the game again.

Ok, tried a few more times. Figured out the problem: the game doesn't save when you reset progress, so if you reset and quit, the progress doesn't stay reset. To properly reset progress start a new campaign and play the first level, or just change any options back and forth and the game will save, indicated by a boulder icon in the corner.
