Tips for playing Rock of Ages 2

I've been playing Rock ages 2 for 3 hours so far and I'm having alot of difficulty winning in the campaign. And if i do win it is only by a sliver. I feel like I must be doing something wrong. So i think just some general tips would be very helpful. Thanks!

You can see the response I left there. Even though the question is about online matches, it applies also for the campaign.

Remember you can lower the difficulty settings for the campaign at any moment in the world map right before entering a level.

I always won with the donut shaped boulder, because it's really fast.
