Is the PS$ controller meant to work? It reads I'm using a controller but doesn't function. On that I wanted to know if it's possible to do split-screen co-op with someone using a controller and the other on KB/M

We didn't develop for the PS4 controller, sorry. Both the XBox360 and XBox One are the main controllers supported by Unreal Engine 4.

Yes, you can do split screen with one person with a controller and another with keyboard+mouse.

I think some people have been able to use the PS4 controller with some sort of middleware, but I'm not sure how that has worked.

I'm using a PS4 controller, works perfectly. Worth noting that I used the Steam configuration to set mine up.

I play with PS4 controller
use this:
1. in the top left corner of steam click Steam > Settings
2. in the new settings menu select controller
3. click General settings
4. Select whatever contoler your using (if you don't know select Generic)
5. Click your controler in the bottom left
6. press the botton most aproximate to the highlighted button

But I can not understand how to play 2 players on 1 computer (split screen)? I connected gamepad, where do I click next to connect the second player?

Just press start on the controller in the menu.
