From the original version, the only thing missing is some slight "censorship" on health pickup items, and some scrubbed company info from info screens (which you won't see typically, but some user maps might use those graphics for something).

Compared to the Megaton Edition, and some other previous compilations, it's missing the third party expansions (Duke It Out In DC, Duke Caribbean, Nuclear Winter, Duke Xtreme etc).

With varying degrees of success and effort—this version isn't all that moddable and breaks compability with older versions. Expansiosn that don't add any new code (enemies, weapons etc)—ie Duke it out in DC—should work fairly easily.

For the others you're better off using a sourceport like EDuke32 (which also supports a ton of mods made specifically for that port). You still need the Duke 3D game data files to use such a sourceport though; the files included in this release will work for that.

Click the "Guides" tab of the game's Steam page to find a quick-install guide on adding the original add-ons to this version of the game. It even includes the Penthouse and PS1 levels! If you get an error message when running an add-on, just tab over to "continue" and choose it twice. Once I did that, the add-ons run with no error every time.

What it's really missing is PSX episode 'Plug n Pray', it had awesome levels in it that referred to other games and movies like Pul Fiction, Wipeout, Tomb Rider etc

That's not included in any PC version though (although it's been fan ported to EDuke32).

I know, but I think it wouldn't be a problem for devs to port it to PC. Shame they didn't.

I got megaton before it was zukked off steam
Gotta say, only real crime was DukeItOutInDC not being included. Duke Caribbean and Nuclear Winter weren't all too interesting I feel

Dunno about Duke Xtreme though, never heard of that one lol

Thankfully someone uploaded most or all of Duke D.C's maps to the game in the workshop. Just need to install a texture thing from a dropbox via someone's steam guide here and it's like the D.C expansion never left

Edit: Looked up Duke Xtreme, played this version when I was v young. I recognize that green nightvision cover
