PSA: YOU CAN RUN

For anyone else like me who thought you couldn't run in this game - you can! None of the buttons on my Wired Xbox controller allowed me to run so I just assumed it was one of those games where you had to walk.
Needless to say by level 3 the game was pretty much impossible haha. After some googling I managed to get the character to occasionally sprint for a few steps by pressing L3 but that wasn't really a great option.
In the end I half used the keyboard (shift and WASD) for movement and the controller for the rest. Not ideal but it worked!

Hi! Running is mapped to the Right Trigger, which indeed might not work after a recent Steam Client update. To fix this, go to your Steam Client -> Controller Settings, and make sure Xbox Configuration Support is enabled. Alternatively, as you pointed out, you can run with L3 (left analog stick pressed down). Hope it helps!

Had the same issue... Right Trigger is not working... but never tried pressing the Left Analog Stick...

i'm shocked, you don't go to the Options menu and check all available commands before playing any game? Maybe i'm too old school, i come from a time where games were sold with a manual (sometimes a thick booklet)

Well, I do, but it didn't help me much because I thought that running was an ability that comes with progress within the game :-p ...yes, chapter 3 turned out to be quite hard XD
The XBox Settings in Steam did the job perfectly.
