Slime fossils I would get advanced drills for, but simply jellystone I would probably stick with novice drills. HOWEVER, It can still be worth getting advanced drills since it's double the reasorces but triple the rewards + Higher chance of rares
in the end unless you want quantity over quality, advanced beats out novice. if going for the 50 gadgets for t3 treasure cracker, the fact the novice is cheaper makes quantity easier with it, and it ties for the 3 cheapest items in the game for this process.
