Yeah, I figured out how the gold slime /actually/ works. What I want is a maneki neko. The maneki neko is a Japanese good luck charm. You might be more familiar with it simply as the "lucky cat". It's typically depicted a a waving cat, and often made of gold (or a gold colored material anyway).

Or the plort rate was like... one every other day.
In my 10h of playtime, I have found 2 of them. Even if I captured them, they would make not even 1% of my money production.
In their current state, golden slimes are a useless amusement to me. If I find one, I dont even bother interacting with it. They are simply useless. They may be op in the early game, but in endgame, even if captured, they would be nearly irrelevant.
