Mouse vs trackpad battle

I really want to play this game but my mouse isn't working! The only way I can look around is my trackpad and I hate using my trackpad to play games. I've disabled the trackpad entirely even uninstalling the driver for it so only my mouse works yet it still won't work in game. HELP!

But I'm trying to use the mouse not the trackpad. Why would the presence of the trackpad files make it so my mouse worked? It still works for everything else but not this. And I've troubleshot my laptop and mouse already and it seems like there's nothing wrong on those ends.

just use the trackpad instead it works really well for me and im terrible with trackpads

i dont think slime rancher is fully laptop compatible yet anyway
