How to find a Hunter Slime?

I've already scoured the Moss Blanket three times and see no sign of the Hunter Slime. Do they have some hideout or is there something you need to do to bring them out?

There should be an area with multiple giant glowing mushrooms past a broken bridge. Hunter slimes also only spawn at night from the few encounters I've had with them. Speaking of few encounters I've only managed to catch two of the little buggers and it doesn't help that they can turn invisible. Also just a word of caution, the area full of the giant mushrooms is infested with boom slimes and pink slimes so expect a crap ton of largos.

@MedicalMage They spawn in the day, but their day spawn is much rarer. You are definitely much better off looking for Hunters at night.

That being said, if you can't find any you can always sleep for a day and come back; it cycles the FFR and may give you a better spawn chance for that night.

TIPS TO FIND THEM: its easier to look for them at night, you can see their faces better at night. you have to spend QUITE a long time looking for them if you want to catch more than like 1. they make a distinctive sound when they go invisbile. once you hear it, you know its them, like with the noise rad slimes make because they emit auras. being in a high area, like the bigger mushrooms, really helps being able to spot them. i suggest hopping around mushroom to mushroom a lot, thats what i did and it really helped me find them, it allows you too see everywhere they could be. if you have and hen-hens (any kind) or roostros,and if you think theres a hunter slime around, shoot the hen-hens or roostros out to where you think the hunter slime may be, and go somewhere high where you can watch them. once it is visible, go for the catch.
