Guide for installing mods on the Steam Deck?

Does anyone know of any guides to installing Slime Rancher 1 mods on the steam deck? I'm very new to Linux. I tried installing SRML on my steam deck but the steam os doesn't seem to like running .exe's. Could anyone point me in the direction of a guide?

From Nexus, these are the mods I'm trying to install (I know Nexus/Vortex doesn't work on the steam deck):
- More Vaccables
- Market Expansion
- Gem Slimes
- Slimes and Market
- Extra Vac Slots
- More Corral Upgrades

I actually figured out! I moved the SRML exe file to the same folder as the steam installation for slime rancher, and then I added the exe file as a non steam game to my library, forced it to use proton experimental in the settings, and ran it through steam. And it ran just fine! Using mods on the steam deck right now!

It didn’t work for me. I have the SRMLInstaller.exe in the steamapps/common/Slime Rancher folder. Is that not correct?

Edit: I figured it out. If anyone else has this problem try running it with Proton 7.0-6 that worked for me.

Getting this set up was a pain in the ass to do on Steam Deck. Took me about an hour or two to just get the mod loader downloaded.

I tried to utilize the method mentioned by Paradox-Tavish shared, to run it in Steam using Proton 7.0, but to no avail.

Only way I got it done was to use a PC (Which was a time consumer to get done on its own) to install the mod loader and then backup all the files and AppData on Google Drive. Then, I had to find the directories for both Slime Rancher's .exe and appdata, delete every single file from them, and then replace them with the new ones. If I missed a single file, it just failed to work.

I hope sometime someone can made a video tutorial to discuss how to do this easier, but as for what it's like right now, that ain't been done.

You sould make a YouTube video on it then like delete and redo it and record it with your phone showing us how you got it to work for us you be the first famous person to show everyone how to do it

You sould take your phone out record and post it for me I'm trying to get my melon loader to work on my Steam deck so if you show me a step-by-step and post on you tube u be famous for being the first to record it make sure to tittle it step-by-step tutorials on how to mod slime rancher 2 through melon loader manually through the Steam deck

dont do mods if you do its probably gonna prevent you from playing thats what happend to me
