Anyway to Change Speed of Day and Night Cycle?
With most of my ranch being occupied with jelly balls of cuteness, I find most of my day gone by the time I've tended to them all.

When the drone update drops (If that's what they're going for next), it will make this so much easier but for now I was wondering if there's anyway to slow the day and night cycle down, and will it break anything if I do like it may in Skyrim?

I actually asked about basically the same thing here.

Purplecharmander said he would look into it, but he hasn't seem to have gotten back to it, or at least not publicly.

Ah awesome, it's probably a lot more complicated than Purplecharmander first thought.

Yeah I would be worried that altering game time speed would make a giant mess of things and make scripts break. Hopefully the drones will be able to free up some player time well enough on their own.

life has been a bit hectic, havent had much time to actually work on it. gave a date and things popped up which messed up that schedule. but yeah a few clocks i would need to mess around with when dealing with all this, agitation is a big one

@purplecharmanderz That's no problem at all, modders have no obligation to create mods in a time frame and you should always put your real life first. I hope you get life sorted. :)

Something I still need to wrap my own head around lol

Yeah I wasn't trying to stick it to you or anything purple, just explaining everything I knew about the situation in a succinct manner so TC didn't need to go through and read everything for themself if they didn't want to.

fair enough, today i may get some time to work on it when i get my homework done

It would be cool to have an in-game day last a whole real hour (2.5x longer), instead of 24 minutes.
purplecharmanderz Apr 17, 2018 @ 4:07pm
might work better than the 5x longer that my mind was coming up with. ill work under that number though with the 2.5x

welp time to test if this is working the way i thought it would, if so ive got my work cut out for me, if not, ive got to figure out what it is im doing wrong
purplecharmanderz Apr 17, 2018 @ 4:30pm

Speedrun. xD

well tried some tests with that and found a couple things interesting about the games clock and how it reacts to some things. majority of events are still locked to the games clock, such as price changes for the plort market and time left for the range exchange. agitation and hunger growth are also effected by it, but behaviours and crop growth are on seperate clocks. so doubling the time it takes for a day to pass will actually cause more of a food overflow.

ok got it working and it was a whole lot easier than i expected.
