Hack type of saved game?
Is it possible to hack a save file to change the game type?

Edit: I'm running Linux (Arch) so would prefer a native solution that doesn't require running the Windows version of Slime Rancher under Linux.

My first game save was in casual mode so no tarr slimes, but my 5yo son has been playing it and caused so much chaos by filling the ranch with hundreds of slimes and letting them roam freely. He now expects me to clean up, and I'm already sick of cleaning his mess in the real world!!!

I don't want to spend hours cleaning up his mess, if I could only change the game mode then I could have the tarrs clean up far quicker than I alone ever could.

Thanks

Oh not sure that's going to work as I'm running Linux and the SRML is a Windows exe,

that would have been pertinent information to include in your post :p you should go edit the original post with that information.

Yes you're right I just didn't think!

I guess I was hoping to be able to overwrite a few bytes of the save game using Linux command line tools (ie dd) or something.

A quick search saw one user on nexusmods who'd setup Slime Rancher in Wine, and run SRML in Wine too. But am I right in thinking SRML creates custom save games so I'd be commited to playing a modded Slime Rancher in Wine?
