Multiplayer mod
Does anyone know? Did the author made the mod? Do I need two copies to use in steam with 2 usernames?

it would be nice if the patch came as an update. I have slime racher on my ps4 and pc. The kids are crazy about playing in multiplayer. this could be the next minecraft no joke. I am getting a second copy for the pc on the next sale guys.

Anything the author created or involved in should be label as updates, patches, or DLC (downloadable content).

Unless I missed something, the author of the game has no indication of creating multiplayer features. The multiplayer mod you found was created by other people, I'm assuming you talking about Saty's Slimerancher Multiplayer mod.

Multiplayer depends on how they set up connections, so there's a "slight chance" you can set it up using only the one copy you have through LAN, but as I have not try the mod, I cannot say for certain.

Edit: but the most common method with Steam/online is indeed, requiring separate users and multiple purchases.
