A Guide to Installing Mods
Hi there. This is a simple guide for how to install mods for slime rancher.
Step 1:
Go to nexus mods and search for slime rancher.
Then download the mod: SRML (Slime Rancher mod loader)
Step 2: After installing, click on the application.
It will open the command console, asking if you want to install it. Enter "y" and it will install the file.
To access mod folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Slime Rancher\SRML\Mods
Step 3:
Download mods at your choosing.
Enjoy!

Has anyone found a mod that changes carnivorous slimes into orivores (egg eaters)? Basically making the chick-chicks uneatable and having eggs spawn and take their place?
Or is that beyond the modablity of this title?

I ask because I've spent a lot of time caring for chickens much in the way this game has you caring for slimes. These girls were not for slaughter and much as I love chicken as a food, I very idea of giving up a chicken in my care for eating purposes is incredibly sad to me.

And as to "You can make it yourself": I'm still trying to learn the first language I tried to learn- help would be welcome. I'm not sure if I'm just not flying in the right circles but I'm having trouble finding resources. :\
So its a long time coming, but I figure I'm not slime-loving chicken parent in the world, so I posted the idea for anyone interested.

A mod like this sadly does not exist yet, but may be developed in the future.

I am running into an issue when using SRML. While the installation of SRML and other mods appear to work perfectly, as soon as SRML is installed, all of the DLCs are disabled, even appearing as disabled in the DLC menu. When I verify the game files, the DLCs are re-enabled, but now the mod menu is missing and all mods are disabled.

SRML does this even with no other mods installed. Any help would be appreciated. :slimetabby:

Try re-installing the DLC. This usually works for me.

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and SRML to no effect.

What managed to fix the issue, though I cannot explain why, is running the game once in safe mode.

Running the game in safe mode is supposed to turn graphics to lowest quality on startup for poor-performing computers, but that is something weird. I'm glad that it worked.

Is there any way to change an object's name? Like changing the name of a fruit or changing the name of a ornament

This is not guide for modding. Modding is a process of CREATING mods. This is guide on how to install mods. Please, change the title, so it not collide with modding requests in google)

The usage of the word "modding" is correct for both cases. If I am modding my game, I could be installing the mods. Alternately, if I am creating a mod, I would also be modding.

I've seen it used both ways rather extensively on both modding sites, and modding discords. The later even has to be pretty darn specific about how they name/describe their channels for this reason.
