I'm sure the area where you found the bridge over water leads to a gray island where there's longer bridges in the distance leading to another area. Well, on that gray island is a tree that grows that fruit you want, yet you better be able to pulse wave the ferals on that island from you. Ferals are largos that spawn when you enter their area and will hunt you for food unless you pulse wave them into the Slime Sea or feed them a food they can eat. Don't panic, they are Pink ferals, so just shoot some carrots at them if you don't have pulse wave.
Also, that last room in the Far, Far Range that spawns the Stone Hen hens, off of that center island/cliff pointing towards the Slime Sea is another tree that grows that fruit. That spot is easier to deal with cause there's no ferals to jump ya. You just gonna get there before they fall off the tree and the random slimes in that area eat them.
Also, after you get the Overgrowth expansion, you'll have access to the Beach! The beach has some of that fruit's trees growing on it as well. Yet for like 2 of it's trees locations there you'll need a jet pack with power to reach them if I remember correctly. Otherwise, there's one on the beach farther back if you stay on the mainland, it's behind a rock yet before the massive rock rings you'll see there. I'd say it's so easy to gather that fruit from that tree as well cause you can just run over to it than needing any upgrades to reach it. Yet the Beach does have wild slimes, so if the fruit falls before you can get to it, slimes might have eaten it.
There's no rush to get the Overgrowth expansion either. You don't need to get to the Beach so quickly just for that fruit. There's 2 places on the Far, Far Range that you can get it from without it being locked away. Yet across the Slime Sea over those wooden bridges is the Moss Blanket that needs to be unlocked to enter it. I'm pretty sure the "crystal cave" you mentioned is the Indigo Quarry. The Indigo Quarry is also locked and you'll really need your jet pack to travel around it with ease.
But don't let the locked areas upset you. You just need to find all the Gordos and fed them until they pop and they'll drop keys. Gordos are the large slimes that sit in place and won't move and you can't move them, yet when you step up to them they'll open their mouths thinking that you'll shoot food into their mouths.
The jet pack and pulse wave are upgrades that you can buy if you can afford them. They are displayed on the machine console that's next to the steps that lead up to the house. Not all upgrades will be there all at once, the machine gets updated when there's a new upgrade sent to it, that'll take a few days in game for probably the desired upgrades to appear.
If you wanna wait on the upgrades then I suggest you ranch the other slimes you have, unless they only will eat the square strawberry. Yet the square strawberry is a favorite food, so you can give them any other fruit and they'll still eat it cause it's fruit either way. There's those round fruits on trees in the Far Far Range are fairly common. Especially in the area where there's the cave entrance to the Indigo Quarry, there's a big tree in the center that grows a ton more of those round fruits that you can take for your fruit lovers.
Also, this is a common trick I do as I start out is gathering the wild slimes plorts all over the Far Far Range. I mostly gather the Pink slimes plorts since there's mostly pink slimes so you can keep on collecting the plorts quickly, then run back to the ranch, sell them to free a slot again, then run out for wild plorts. Also it's an easy method to avoid wild slimes from mixing and turning into Tarrs. Tarrs are monsters that will eat any slimes, foods, and ranchers they spot. You'll know when there's Tarrs in the area cause they rapidly multiple as they eat and there's music to accompany their appearance as well as slimes will get startled. It's easy, you can outrun the Tarrs. Don't try to fight them cause you can't without water. They can't follow you outside the areas they spawn into. They are made from when a largo eats a plort cause there's no other food they can eat. So that's why it's nice to collect all the wild plorts to avoid Tarr outbreaks when you're not prepared to deal with them. But you can also grab the Tarrs and shoot them into the Slime Sea to end them or pulse wave them to get distance so you can run away to the next area. Tarr outbreaks don't last very long if all the food in the place has been eaten up, then Tarrs can't survive too longer afterwards so they'll disappear after starving.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Sorry if I had spoiled anything for you, I did my best not to spoil too much since you are still in the early stage of the game. All I can say is you gonna use get out there and explore the world, everywhere you can to find all Gordos and locked areas, etc. You don't have a schedule to turn any amount of plorts in daily. You are your own boss in the game, so you can decide if you'll sell plorts everyday or not everyday. There's no punishment if you don't sell everyday in game. Just explore at your own pace, upgrades are so handy to reach new places around the world. And don't be scared that your slimes will die when they haven't been fed for days. Slimes can't die. They'll just get very hungry the longer you don't feed them, yet they won't get aggressive at you for not feeding them daily. You'll notice when they get very hungry, their expression will be closed eyes with drool dangling from a corner of their mouths as they will follow you behind the corral walls once they notice you cause they know you'll feed them eventually.
Sorry for the long comment, I rambled, hopefully not too much for you to read. I swear it's all information you might not know. I wish you good luck! I hope I helped you out!
There's map nodes around the world in game. Here's a link to the wikia page on it: https://slimerancher.fandom.com/wiki/Map_Data_Nodes
At the bottom under Gallery it shows what they look like. You go up to them and interact with it, it'll reveal the map button to you as well as fill out that part of the world. There's a map node in each section so you can gather an entire map of all of it. Exploring is your fun though, the map nodes can be in different areas around the sections cause all the places are different from each other. Good luck! Have fun!
