I've got a problem
So I used to play this game a long time ago, I had it on one account but I had several others on this account, I didn't know at the time you can family share, so I pirated slime Rancher and played, some people might say that it's not ok and all this, but I already had bought the game, I just couldn't bother to change account every day just because I wanted to play Slime Rancher instead of something else, I stopped playing for a while and I came back now after finding out about family sharing, I played on my old save, which is about 1 year old, or even earlier, I can't really remember, the game loads just fine, but after 10 seconds it just freezes.I try deleting my save and starting a new one, same outcome, I even gave my PC a clean windows install and it's still not working, can someone help me with this?My specs are kind of old but it used to work just fine before.

Wow. I'm not sure what happened. Sorry about your game. Hopefully your computer is still functional aside from that. I don't know anything about pirating games, but I'm gonna guess maybe that's a cause? I'm sorry what happened to your game. I can't relate at all. But I hope it can be fixed eventually for you.

It doesn't have anything to do with me pirating the game, I got it as an already installed version and all, I didn't have to install everything, I formatted my whole hard and it's not because of steam or anything, the game has something to do with my PC and that's what makes it not work, I just don't know what and how to fix it.

1.) If you still have the illegal pirated version on your PC, it could well be the problem. When you try to play a legal, Steam installed version using Family Share, from someone else's account, the call put out to run the executable file to launch the Steam application could also be triggering the executable file to run the pirated version, causing a conflict. Since Pirated version are rarely complete and updated, it would likely contain very ol code that has been changed in over a year. If your old save is from the priated version, it will most likely NOT be compatible with the Steam application legal version through Family Share.

So it will will freeze and/or crash due to major conflicts, and possibly memory usasge maxed out from trying to run both executables at the same time.

2.) No one an help youor tell you if it due to being too far below required system specs if you don;t tell us your system specs. "Older" means nothing. My rig is "older", but was built with good components that still exceed system spec requirements for most games, but not all. Yours may be too low end to even run this game a year after it launched in Early Access, The requirements were much lower then, and since pirated games tend to have altered code and files, they also tend to have totlaly different system spec requirements. So unless you post your system specs, no one can say if your rig can handle the Steam Legal application version using Family Share.

And contrary to what your somewhat hostile profile says, no one "hates" you because you are Romanian. Some of us may dislike you, strongly, however, for admitting to being a pirate of a game we paid for, and for having a VAC ban. which makes your honestly and character stand out to be distrusted, and disliked. BUY the game legally, or prove that you are using a LEGAL Steam copy of it for Family Share, and the developers and community may be more likely to offer friendly help with your technical issues. But we can do NOTHING about about your moral faults and lack of honest and responsible ethics.

Wow, calm down dude, I own the game, I used to own the game before downloading the pirated version too, you went kind of in depth with my profile but you didn't read to see that I formated my hard?I don't have the pirated version on my PC anymore and it was not interfeerin with steam back then, I made a new save file, the first few seconds the game runs, it runs smoothly, so my PC can run it, I didn't specify specs because no one asked so far so I didn't want to waste time if it was not necessary, having a vac ban doesn't really say anything, I mainly play games that are not on Steam, I had csgo but I wasn't having fun playing it so the vac ban is not much to me, my profile bio is written in boredom and I'm fairly sure that not everyone hates us Romanians, it's just that most are not educated enough and kind of give away a stereotype, anyway, we're starying away from the subject, this has been a question that many people asked, I am honestly on the side that once I bought a game, there's no problem in pirating it, why would I not do that, I don't understand, I already payed the developers their money and helped them and also thanked them for taking their time to make this, I can go on the account where I own the game and comment on this or add you if you don't believe me, no problem, I mean you have to believe me anyway, it's family shared, you can't pirate a game and have it work on steam, except for those old spacewar games.Anyhow, thanks for helping me, you really did help, it wasn't just a huge waste of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time, or yours.Have a good day.

Btw please don't do that *insert random whatever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here* ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again, it's really cringy, why do you even have to write that? I've mostly seen it used by 'weebs' or whatever they're called and I started associating it with cringiness and disgust, can't you just leave it at that, you don't have to go ahead and say *facepalms, turns hand to glass to sip water but then realises the glass is empty and facepalms again*, it's highly unnecessary.

Oh, no. I read that you reformatted your HD. I have reformatted mine, on many machines, over many years. Only I have the intelligence to create backups, either on discs or on removable, external HD's, to save copies of any and all games and other sofware, photos, videos and such, that i want to put back onto my PC after I reformat.

I'll have to remember the "I already bought the game, and I am one of those who thinks stealing a copy of something I already own is okay". I mean, I bought a car. My husband bought a car, we bought a car for my 19 year old son, and will be buying one for my daughter when she turns 17. So I guess since we bought cars already, and will be buying more, there is no problem with us going back to the car dealership and each of us taking another one without paying for it. Because we already bought one. Right?

I seriously doubt Law Enforcement and the Legal System would see it that way. Same goes for buying gmaes, food at a store or restaurant, heck, even underwear. Theft is theft. And oh, btw... weeaboos are into Anime. Something that I am not into at all. And your use of profanity is highly unneccessary, just like your trying ti justify theft, for any reason.

You brought up that you thought it was your PC causing the issue. So, no one should need to ask for your specs. If you are asking for help with your PC, no one can help if you don;t bother to tell anyone what your PC is. For all i know you are on a Tandy x86 from the 80's. Speaking of which, I suppose the places i bought the compnent to build this rig from won;t mind if I help myself to some new compnenets, Since i already bought componenets from them before and supported them? Espeicially the small vendors who need every sale to keep going, like the tiny Dev team from Monomi Park does? You do get that they aren't Blizzard or Ubisoft, right?

Wow you're so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ delusional, I shouldn't waste time like this but I've got nothing better to do at this time.Your argument makes no sense, I heard that a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ton of times, buying a game and then pirating it is nothing like that, it's more like I got an autograph from a celebrity and I gave it to a friend as a gift or I keep it somewhere else so I'm going to print it aswell, it won't be genuine but it's still something.I never stole anything, it's not physical.on another point, I reformated my hard, I do have backups, but I only have what I know I will need, I don't have the pirated silme rancher and even if I did I don't think having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ external drive in my room affect my game on my PC 2 feet away from it and not connected, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I haven't even read your whole comment because I came here with a problem, not to get a headache, I'm not going to waste more of my time on stupid neckbeards.

'helping'. Sure,

Here, I've got one,
look for thread
find person needing help
look up their bio and dig for something to argue on
not even try to remotely help.
