Best Largo Combinations?

I'd like to know which are most beneficial from your experience!
I'm planning on making another file which I wanna be super beneficial on, and have a bunch of largo combos so I can efficiently feed them their favorites and save up plorts for the Lab, as well as make a decent amount of Newbucks.

OMG DUDE! WE ALMOST HAD THE SAME EXACT RANCH!!!!

But after some of the updates came, I tended to use Hunter-Mosaics - Silver Parsnips, Dervish-Tangles - Prickle Pears, and Saber-Quantums - Phase Lemons. I don't have any doubles of anything, but in the Lab expansion, i keep largos of Pink-Rock, Pink-Phosphor, and Pink-Tabby because those plorts are needed for a lot of gadgets etc. And I keep 5 in each so there is a total of 15, and I keep a carrot patch and I feed 6 in each +2 extra.

But anyways, my suggestion is, thrive on your gardens, don't try to do largos with meat-only, and if yr gonna have a pink-(something) largo, make sure u can supplement the other with its favorite food to get full plort-age...

I've got a setup that nets me every type of plort without having to feed hen-hens at all:

In the overgrowth, I've got Honey-Boom and Honey-Quantum, far away from each other because the boom plorts end up everywhere. Bonus points for the same favorite food, though I feed Mint Mangoes AND Phase Lemons. Also, Honey slimes are adorable.

Then, there's Tabby-Rock and Mosaic-Saber; both feed on veggies, which is nice for drones. I threw in some Mosaic-Hunters, too - they look AMAZING, and I've got the veggies here, anyway.

In the cave, I've got Tangle-Dervish (far, FAR away from the other corral), and Phosphor-Pink.

Lab is Rad-Crystal and some pure pink slimes, because you can never have enough pink plorts once the slime science gets going.



The docks are bonus food production right now, but I'll probably try Rad-Quantum and Mosaic-Quantum down there. Rad-Dervish and Boom-Dervish over in the mansion, maybe?



Mosaic-Saber and Mosaic-Hunter are surprisingly harmless and very lucrative if you don't mind getting exploded on a regular basis, as is Tabby-Rock and Phosphor-Pink, but with less explosion and less newbucks.

Rad-Crystal is a bit annoying, but manageable.

Tangle and Boom largos need to be kept as far away from other slimes as possible; Tangles grab onto everything, including plorts, and Boom plorts somehow end up everywhere no matter what you do. Quantum can be a bit annyoing, but they usually behave.

I'm going to tell you my whole setup. its easy, efficient and without these new drones i was DROWNING in plorts. my collectors would get to 100 + plorts before i could finish my rounds.

STEP 1 Have the expansions, this is an end game set-up.

This area is almost fully automated at this point, all you need to do is put turrets where you feel necessary, feed your Mosaic slimes their Silver Parsnips, water your drones, and keep your fire slimes fed.

STEP 7 The Fun part.
- The Grotto is empty
- Both Ogden's Retreat and Mochis Manor are empty
- All these empty plots can be used for anything you need
- All Corrals with 5 Largos in them can be upped to 6 Largos per Corral and 1 upgraded Garden will still be able to support them on medium feed time setting.
- Can possibly upped to 7 per Corral but haven't tried it due to too many Plorts at 6 per Corral

STEP 8 Dangers
- do not sleep more than 1 day in a row, your dervish slimes will become angry due to stasis/not eating while not loaded in and make tornados throwing plorts, slimes, and food everywhere once you “ Return to Ranch”. Have Turrets for this.

I don't know, i've always just chosen one slime and then made largos of it with other types of slimes, so that way i don't need to farm more than one resource.

In my current save i'm going with:

Rad/Hunter
Rad/Crystal
Rad/Boom
Rad/Honey

Those are in the top denominator of slimes you can farm, their plorts all have a base value of 30-ish, and the only thing i have to farm are oca-oca's.

Personally, it doesn't really matter what combination i use, any combination of those 5 can easily get you 10K+ in about a day.

I tend to find that many people do Largos for more money. I do it more for cuteness, but also to make it easier. Instead of doing two of the same diet slimes, I always do different diet slimes. This includes honey hunters (my personal fav) and the slime that had made me the most money so far on my second save(not complete yet) is the saber quantum slime.

once i get to the honey slimes i mix everything with honey so all i have to plant is the mint mango. once i unlock mosaic slimes i clear almost everything and mix crystals with mosaic so then i can switch out my crops for the silver carrots. I keep 1 pen of honey hunters and have 1 mint mango tree for them. I do phosphor/Quantum free range in the cave and do 1 or 2 lemon trees for them. I keep my pink/tabby, my pink/rock, and my rad next to the science building because that's pretty much all their plorts can really be used for as they don't sell for much. Haven't decided if i'll mix my tangles with anything yet

tangle-saber roaming free in overgrowth cause chickens spawn naturally

normally i use 10 largos in each corral and makwe sure the mosaic dervishes are far away from other corrals for example in the grtto they are spaced out so i put them there. You can put the quantum-crystal far away aswell because i think it helps alot.

I currently have this
All my corrals have 3 largos, each area has 2 drones, a silo, and of course gardens or coops to produce food for the slimes in that expansions, its set up so I can easily tell my drones to switch jobs for certain purposes
Starter area- only does fruit so my drones work, I also have a pond for puddle slimes.

Phosphor/Tabby-Cuberry
Boom/Honey-Mint Mango
Grotto-Only veggies
Crystal/Rad-Oca Oca

Overgrowth-it has a coop for painted hens but my drones only collect the ones that spawn naturally, still think this place shouldve had 5 spots like the others
Saber/Dervish-Eat chickens
Mosaic/Tangle-Eat chickens
My place is set up(or going to be) where I can tell my drones to either sell them at a market link, a refinery link, or store them in a silo. Its efficient.
The docks- it has briar and stony hen coops, a silo for collecting them, and fire slimes, I also keep my fashion pods there
The Lab- it has gardens for silver parsnips, odd onions/carrots, prickle pears, and pogofruit for collecting them into a silo for later, its also where all my portals are.

Maybe I'm weird, but on all of my playthroughs I've always made it a point that all my slimes are largos, and they all share a breed in common. This allows me to simply grow *one* type of food, and it is automatically the favorite of all my slimes. Now with drones selling off the common breed plorts for me, all I need to do is pick a semi-valuable common breed.

I use honey slimes as my common breed, which means it's mint mangos everywhere. No need to grow anything else or farm chickens.

MAIN RANCH:
10 Pink/Honey (two corrals -- pink plorts are used in a lot of equipment)
10 Tabby/Honey
10 Tangle/Honey
10 Boom/Honey
3 deluxe gardens with mint mangoes
1 drone filling the feeders
1 drone selling plorts (or depositing in refinery link as needed)

THE GROTTO:

This is working pretty good for me. Got 999 of all plorts (except gold of course) in my refinery, was able to get all the 7zee rewards and buy all the blueprints and vac pack upgrades. Each day of course I need to visit each location and splash the drones with water, but that's not too hard. Sure the price of honey plorts crashes, but who cares? Even selling several hundred honey plorts a day, the price is still better than pink, tabby, rock, or phosphor ... the newbucks roll in pretty reliably. :-)
