Are Saber Slimes aggressive?
I think back when Saber Slimes were new, they were pretty chill, and they didn't growl. But lately going back to the game, I was collecting plorts from the corrals near my Saber-Phosphor slimes and I heard angry growling behind me. I got scared the first few times, turned around, and only my Saber-Phosphor slimes were there, still in their corral. And I also took notice they have tiny eyebrows now so they have largo grumpy faces cause they are a Saber mix.

But are Saber slimes the ones growling?

Does the growling mean something, like they need more food or a toy?

I'm not sure if Saber care has changed since when they were first introduced, so I'm not sure if I should be nervous about the growling if that means they'll try to escape or not, or if they are trying to demand more food or a toy.

Just so everyone knows, I feed my slimes from my vac-pack rather than using an auto feeder. I don't know if that practice will get me in trouble or not. None of my corrals have auto-feeders on them, cause I rather feed them with my vac-pack. I don't know, it feels like it's a more personal thing, as if I can bond with my slimes better than way than using an auto-feeder. I know that probably sounds crazy, that slimes don't care if they are fed from an auto-feeder or the vac-pack. But I like to think my slimes more like pets, so I rather feed them as if they were pets.

Please be kind to me.

Only ones to truly get aggressive are hunters, I usually play with sounds muted unless streaming so I can't say much else in that regards.

Yeah. Hunters become feral when largo'd or when they aren't fed for a while. Sabers are only aggressive in the area-I-forgot-what-it's-called-but-it's-where-you-get-the-saber-plorts. Feeding slimes with your vac-pack is fine, as long as you don't get too close to the dangerous ones, especially if you have a ton of rad slimes. Believe me, I'm a rad slime rancher (2nd favorite slime, but a tangle slime rancher is too dangerous), and I have a ton of rad slimes in this one area. Just passing into their field will make my rad meter go up VERY fast.
Saber slimes will make random growly noises sometimes, they're fine. If slimes are agitated/haven't been fed enough, their eyes will be closed and they'll be frowning.

Thanks for the information on Saber slimes, it's been so long lol. I didn't know if growling was them being upset, but I guess the growling is like when the other slimes say "yay". They do say that, it's very soft but adorable! :D

I gotten like very slime, well aside from the ones in the Desert area. Lol, I gotten the Quantum area unlocked as the farthest areas I have to unlock. And sadly I don't know what to do with my Rads, Honeys, Booms, Crystals, Hunters, and Quantum slimes ;u; I don't know what largos I wanna turn them into yet. And they are all in separate corrals, taking up a lot of space :p I would need to decide what I'll mix them so I could probably free up some plots XD

FYI, I don't have the lab unlocked but I have all the other expansions on my ranch. There's so many adorable slimes >u< It can be hard to choose what to mix them with that I love the most seeing them. And I do know about Rads and their bubbles. But in case you don't know, you can spray them with water for their bubble to shrink down a bit for a while.

Thank you :D And the place to get the Saber plorts is the Wilds. Sorry I'm rambling a lot. Thanks :D Good luck with your ranch :D

Good luck with your ranch, too! I don't really need to splash my rads though. My main save is the one I've already beaten the game on; The other one I'm gonna focus on is the pool ranching one. Not too hard, as long as you can supply your slimes every time you come back

Nice :D I haven't beaten the game yet. Lol, I'm not reading the H notes or Casey's starmail cause I don't want the adventure to end too soon and I think reading those are the way to advance the story of the game. I'm trying to wait out as long as I can so I can be with my slimes :D

One thing that I learned Puddle slimes like, are chickens :D Or at least in the past, they did. So I let some elder chickens hang around my pond for my Puddle slimes.

Do would you want to become friends? Sorry if you don't want to.

They don't "advance" the game. It "advances" yourself, and the game doesn't actually end. It's just the story ends. The H notes are little notes about the area, and the starmail is just part of the story. I don't really think puddle slimes like chickens, but they really like their rubber ducky.
If you mean become friends as in friend this account, I'd rather start friending people when I finally get an actual account (this was a shared account, but I'm pretty much the only person who actively uses it)

i call bologna, i ranch tangles almost exclusively... just need to organize your ranch in such a way that they won't tarr the place while self feeding.

sorry to say but there has never been any actual benefit to this. although no hinderance either.

I didn't realize I can't stop the end of Casey to come when I'm playing. I'm referring to Casey sitting outside with an instrument image, I saw it on a thumbnail and the video was titled it was the end vid. I guess I can go back to reading the H notes and starmail, cause I haven't seen them all yet.

I'm sorry if I misinformed you about puddle slimes and chickens. I think in the past, there was a time that when chickens were around the pond the Puddle slimes would make more plorts than normal. So I always let my chickens be near my pond cause I still think the Puddle slimes like them but I too have given them their ducky toy ^u^

lol It's good I asked if you wanted to be friends with me on Steam cause of your shared account. I wouldn't ever mind waiting for a possible friend :D Who knows, we might across paths again on the forum, but when you're on your non-shared account. Thanks for all the help :D It'd be nice to have a friend that I can talk about Slime Rancher with and possibly get some help with it too. I hope you have a great day/night! :D

Okay, so it doesn't matter if the chickens are near a pond full of puddle slimes, but it's also cute so I let them be.

that is a fair enough reason.

To put it simply...yes. Unless you feed 'em they won't calm down.

It's not actually them being upset, as I've mentioned.
It's funny how they look all big, like something that wouldn't make cute noises, and make growling noises sometimes, yet they still make the cheery, high-pitched slime sounds

Lol, it's hard to hear their happy high-pitched slime sounds. :3 I think lately the Saber slimes remind me of Grumpy Cat XD Their growls make me feel that I'm in trouble lol. But I'm glad to have learned it's one of the many noises they make :D
