Quatum slimes in ponds and Quantum/Puddle largo questions.
Hi,

Just caught my first Quantum slimes, read the Slimepedia entry and a some of the discussions on trying to keep 'em.

General idea seems that you have to keem em stuffed silly and they stay put(?).

However other slimes eat Quantum plorts so can you make a Quantum/Puddle largo?

I have yet to collect a quantum plort in the wild - they are just, dn'know phased wrong or something.

Would a quantum/pluddle largo work? The plort production would be low but if I have things correct they should just sit in their pond as they would dry out otherwise and you would not have to feed them.

I've dumped quatums in some natural ponds and they just float around. Water keeps the Quantums from phasing so....

... has anyone tried Quantom/puddle largos or just keeping quantums in ponds? If so what was your milage?

Any thoughts?

I don't believe puddle slimes can be turned into largos, unless they changed that in the newer updates, the same way that fire slimes can't be turned into largos or turn other slimes into largos with their plorts. Although quantum slimes ARE able to be turned into largos in general, if that makes sense? Hopefully it does, I'm super tired. Idk about the pond thing though, haven't tried it. Could be a good idea.

puddle and fire slimes both can't be turned into largos, and other slimes can't be turned into largos with their plorts. this is probably because of the large size of largos vs. the small size of ponds and ash troughs, plus the question of whether these largos would survive in corrals, and what/how they would eat.
tl;dr, since puddle and fire slimes divert so much from the usual slime formula, neither of them can be largos. this might be changed in a future update, but i kind of doubt it.

edit: haven't tried keeping quantums in ponds, though. it might work, although the lack of high walls upgrades for ponds makes me think they might just jump out. could be wrong, though.

No point, at that point you are just free ranging and wasting a plot since puddles can't largo.
