I don't think it does because I'm pretty sure they only target the tarrs, but it would definitely be a good idea :slimehappy:

NO!
If you had drones being watered by auto turrets, there wouldnt be any need to maintain your drones. The devs made it so that you have to refill the drone's water tank so you couldnt just sit back, relax, let the drones do everything, and put in the occasional effort to shovel food into the autofeeders

Agreed. That's a bad idea, the game wouldn't have any interest anymore

Seconded, would be nice to eventually be able to automate everything. Being at endgame several times already and still wondering why the ♥♥♥♥ I gave myself so much work when I have all this map to explore and still need to return every several days makes me consider just doing slime ranger runs every single time I start up because I know there's no bellcurve to technological progress like there is in something like modded minecraft.

To be honest, running through the place once every now and then and leaving two drops of water per area is already almost no work.
I'm 99% happy about how they work right now (with the exception of the refinary-storage-option missing). ^_^

Just going to point out that with turrets you could 100% automate your ranch expansions with 1 or 2 drones

Maybe put a statue with tarr behind drone?

The Tarr have a limited lifespan. It's not possible, even with the #1 Slime Stage.

Actually that limited life span is why it actually can work, although it is far more work to water 1 drone that way than to do it yourself. So while it is ultimately pointless, it is a unique little method.

i wonder what it is... Still tho make a mod for the turrets to fire water at the drones every once in a while please... I would be greatful.

Good news is that drones can now take the refinery as a destination.

And the hydro turret thing is just... There would be no game after that. You'd have to do literally nothing. that's not the point

Well, if you didn't do the hydro turret thing, then you would have to constantly panic that your turrets will run out and then your quantum slimes get agitated and escape for the 60th time!!

Edit: don't forget about the hunter largos going feral And breaking through the air net again

Eh presume you mean drones will run out. but i have to say if you have to constantly panic that they would run out in less than 24 hours (ingame) when 1 glob of water lasts for 28 ingame hours, you either don't realize the life span of a watered drone, or have some serious paranoia. As it stands now a drone can manage quantums even with catch up (presuming catch up doesn't bug out like its known to do at times) and all you technically have to do is water the drones. You can set drones close enough together to hit 2 with 1 glob (and it acts as hitting both seperately) halving your actual work needed. Since 1.4.0 you also get advanced drones that makes it even less work. I don't see how the lack of auto watering changes much of anything given how little work there is to begin with with drones. Their point isn't to 100% automate your ranch (although with that in mind i personally think drones do a bit too much.)

Also, nice necro

Well, now that it's been resurrected, I honestly wouldn't mind if we had a money sink in the game for hiring a ranch-hand to do the drone watering for us. I'm sitting on over 3 million, and I'm sure others have more, but I have nothing to spend it on. Literally nothing. I feel like I've reached the end a loooong time ago and now I'm just doing work with no progression. Drone watering is one of those little annoyances I would rather just pay something in-game to do for me so I can focus on other more important tasks... like decorating everything in the game (without distractions). :lunar2019piginablanket:
