Mochi the Slave Driver (Nimble Valley Basic reward too low)
I feel like a Union Rep for doing this...

I know the rancher's sidequests were meant as mid-game content and it being money based was an easy guess coming from Mochi (especially when the Drones was pushed back). But it just seems very lacking. 150 for 10 Quicksilver plorts is just too low. Basically on the medium/average value of the other plorts, everything but pink plorts is more valuable than that. It's "below minimum wage".

And from my observations on other players doing this, their average run is 40-60 plorts. I'm guessing the average in-game time it takes is about 5 hours per run (1 minute in real life = 1 hour in-game), so that's under 1000 newbucks in 5 minutes, something that's fairly easy to do in the beginning of the game. (I can't really go into looking or doing myself better runs to see the maximum possible outcome as I have my own guide to update along with real life errands, but i still see it being low in the end)

Ogden's at least had you still going back to the wilds even for endgame pros with the Tofu or collecting Saber Plorts for your own corrals. But once you are done with Mochi's reward, there's really no incentive to go back to that very fun minigame when everything else you do is more rewarding no mattter how far you are into the main game.

Something that i think would be a good way to balance this (what i was hoping for when i did this) was a "raise" as you moved through the reward tiers. I'm thinking maybe 250 per 10, 300 might be pushing it.
edit: Thought of a better idea. Some sort of bonus based on how well your runs were would be a much fullfilling reward, would definetly fit the style of v1.2 being Rush themed

update:

Now that some pro runs and strats are being posted it doesn't sound that bad now but it still is low (reward should still be at least 200 per 10)

There's also an active reddit thread on the topic as well and they make some good points, my favorite being the update itself is called Mochi's Megabucks and yet we get "scammed"

My average plorts per run is 80 - 90. Ya'll just can't aim with a shotgun spread.

I think for a FREE expansion, it does a good job. It has an okay but ultimately useless base reward but offers unique upgrades when you go all out, just like Ogden did. Arguably Ogden's rewards were better, as they affected your crops and not more varied stuff like Mochi, but Ogden's Wilds have no after value, don't kid yourself. Tofu is okay but completely useless late game unless you have thousands lying around because at 7Zee level 25 all the tofu in the world isn't going to help get you enough money. There's also no point collecting Saber Plorts from the wilds because its incredibly ineffecient, easily surpassed by just feeding them in corrals normally.

The Quicksilver Minigame is way more fun than Ogden's. It feels like Mario Kart if I was actively trying to shoot my competition with a shotgun. Plus its fast paced, which makes it super enjoyable to parkour around the place.

A raise wouldn't be a bad idea, but its not going to mean anything past mid game unless you were being given thousands upon thousands every time, which is just ridiculous. The unique upgrades are why you play, not the money.

I have to disagree with you on the Tofu. Stock up on them and when an endgame plort hits a high value, you got a major time saver with no waiting for those slimes to get hungry again to make bank. Its usefullness may stick out even more depending on how these Drones turn out and what they do.

For the Saber plorts i was referring to get them for your own corrals (especially if you plan on moving your plots around to Ogden's or Mochi's plots since you can't take largos there)

Getting Saber plorts for your own corrals make sense, but I immediately grabbed mine my first minute in Ogden's Wilds and never bothered to grab any more since.

And personally I still find Tofu useless. At 7Zee rewards levels higher than 23, the price for the next upgrade is always 150,000 which is hard to reach even with golden plorts. I had a full silo of golden plorts (400 total from all 3 Vaults), sold them all for 425 each, and barely got enough to get to Level 25. It only gave 170,000. While a few tofu is definitely good for early / mid game, at final stage 7Zee its practically useless because in the time it takes to earn maybe 50 of them, your corrals will be completely full.
I regularly come back to corrals FLOODED with plorts, so much so that the largos I keep look like they are swimming in them. Counting the plorts already in the collector, I usually come home to 150+ of every single plort type. Another 50 of a plort type isn't going to do much for me after all that grinding. This is post-endgame levels though, so this isn't fully accurate to the average player.
My entire ranch is also absolute max level, save for only 3 more 7Zee levels to go (Which is gonna cost $450,000). I don't have any use for the money I'm drowning in, so even a few thousand doesn't make much of a difference to me.
I'm nowhere near max level 7Ze but with the efficiency of my ranch and the plot locations, etc. I am constantly swimming in plorts already too, so much that it has actually become a chore to keep up with it even on the vanilla ranch. And I have a ton of variety, it's not just a ranch full of the usual most lucrative slimes (the entire docks for example being almost entirely meant to farm pink plorts for research) - I basically have largos consisting of every type of slime available. I often leave them alone unless I want to clean up until I really need money - or when I really start farming for the rest of the 7Ze stuff. I don't have every combination of slime or anything, but I have what I feel are the coolest combos (like my personal favorite, Quantum Phosphors which free roam in my Grotto with a lot of other stuff, like every chicken type which the Slimes don't eat).

I would still like higher rewards to be honest, not necessarily because I need them, but because it just feels more fulfilling.

I feel you with the chore part. Ive almost entirely stopped doing anything except feeding them simply because the only thing I haven't achieved is max level in 7Zee, at which point you have to kinda accept the market saturation and deal with absolute minimum prices.

Though I do have to say, the Chicken Coop upgrade makes Chickens actually VIABLE now for feeding slimes. Still not as good as a Fruit / Veggie largo, but actually possible now. Before it wasn't even an option.

Worst update ever, in any game.

I turned the Food guy's place into a Silo forest,
and moved all my items over there.

Then destroyed all my ranch slots,
to get ready to re-think everything,
and fit in a Quick-Silver Largo where-ever it would fit best.

But nope, QS-Slimes arn't largo-able.

Excuse the bumpage but i thought this was worth bringing back up again as there's an active reddit thread on the topic as well and they make some good points, my favorite being the update itself is called Mochi's Megabucks
