About the Party Gordo Update

I like htis update because I was traveling over Christmas, so I couldn't get ornaments... But now I have a second chance!
Also, I would like to know some info about this 'Party Gordo'.
Is it like a pink gordo, where you can just feed it anything? Also, how many ornaments does it drop?
Last think, apparently there are crates with ornaments in them sometimes. Are they exclusively found only on weekends? Thanks!

All of the content is weekend exclusive, while they also added a bunch of new ornaments with the ability to get the old ones. The party gordos aren't any different in behaviour from another pink Gordo.

I read about that, but the wiki said that if you set the time back to christmas to get ornaments, there is a high chance you can lose all your progress. I REALLY don't want to risk anything.

Think one of the more recent updates tried to fix that.

I changed the date to this friday to experiment with the party gordo. It's a pink gordo with a party hat and star eyes - impossible to miss - and you can indeed feed it anything! Each present crate drops one ornament it seems, but the party gordo drops more crates than a regular gordo. I won't spoil too much with any specifics, but there are some NEW ornaments in the mix.

Edit: Oh yeah, and the present crates are only found on the weekends. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

I've seen the new ornaments in the wiki before. If my saves in this game won't mess up, then I am about to set the time to January 1st to get the christmas ornaments, then forward to this weekend for the new ones. Thanks!!
