Are advanced drones as useless as drone drones?

Big oofs, drone drones are very slow at their jobs! I can't imagine a drone having 2 would be helpful if the advanced ones are as slow, and they're expensive...

Hmm, if you give them the wrong combo of tasks, then yes. But i've found them useful still

For example, having one do collect and sell plorts and deliver food could end up neglecting food while it's trying to get all the plorts sold. If it's a small amount of type of plorts it's not so bad, but if it's like 4 corrals of different types, it could take it a while to deliver all the plorts and it might never get around to getting food to the slimes.

I tend to have one drone on plort duty, just a normal drone, and then a advanced drone on feeding duty and plort duty, or just feeding duty if i use 2 types of food in that area.

I have 4 different largos in my main ranch, 3 of the 4 eat fruits, and 3 of the 4 eat veggies, so i have 1 fruit and 1 veggie garden. I've got one drone who does fruit and plorts, and one drone who does veggies and plorts, and i've not had any issues with the slimes starving. So they seem to balance their jobs pretty well since they share the plort task together

it wouldn't be as big a issue if i had less types of largos in one spot, so that they didn't have to split their focus. Because they only carry 1 type of plort at a time, so if you have a total of 8 different plort types, that's 8 different trips for them to gather and deliver those plorts to wherever you assigned the destination

From my expirience advanced drones alternate between both tasks.
I've set up my adv. drone to collect plorts and put into refinery as primary task and sell as secondary task. Noticed the drone selling plorts without refinery being full.
