Drone Problems in The Grotto
I have drones setup in every area of the ranch and all of them work perfectly, except for the grotto. My grotto has 2 corrals with pink and phosphor largos and 3 gardens with cuberries. One of the drones are set to get the cuberries and put them into the autofeeders and the other is set to pick up the plorts from the plort collecters and put them into the refinery or market link, the drone that is set to collect the plorts from the corrals is broken but used to work.

I have tried switching around the way both of the drones work and have found out that they dont want to take the plorts from the plort collectors, this problem only affects the grotto. I dont know if there is something wrong with the location of my corrals or something.

P.S. My Refinery isn't full.

P.P.S. My brother keeps saying thats whats wrong with it.

Have you watered it? And is it working if you are in there?

drones can get stuck on things when in a loaded area. they eventually fix themselves, but if they're stuck when unloaded, they'll be stuck when they get back. like purple charmanderz said, try switching them around. failing that, try to move where your gadgets are. Either the drones, the links, or both

I'll try moving around my corrals to see if its the layout of the grotto that is interfering with the fact that they won't take plorts from the plort collectors.

I can attest to that, I had a drone that'd constantly get stuck on a outcropping of the lab's roof when trying to feed the back corral. I had to switch that corral to the front and move the garden to the back, he doesn't get stuck anymore

if you havent yet, id say just move the drones themselves first to see if thats the problem. iv had the unfortunate luck of one drone being stuck in the leaves of a second drones base, that was easily fixed not even by moving them, just replacing the stuck one and it never moved there again. i know iv seen things stuck in the grotto, i want to say when i had food up top, the gateways in the middle, and corrals down below, but its been a while since they got stuck so i might be wrong

Definitely late but that has literally nothing to do with what i was getting at. Also has a conflict with the actual mechanics behind the system with the get stuck when unloaded thing. They in reality can't, and all the actions done while unloaded are calculated to be done when the cell reloads. Can't exactly get stuck on something when both the drones and the thing they would be stuck on currently don't exist.

Was actually trying to clear out the watering issue, which isn't uncommon, or the idea they aren't working when the cell is unloaded, since catch up is a thing that has also been confused with issues like this.

It's not a fix to the drones, but don't bother with the corrals. You can free-range slimes in the Grotto, and they very rarely, if ever, manage to get out. That way you can have tons of them, they eat straight from the gardens to auto-feed, and all you gotta do is periodically go in and suck up the plorts.
