Settings > In game > Screenshot Shrotcut key (if you want to remap from F12). Screenshot Folder (use drop down mennu to select the folder you want them to save to).
I have mine set to a custom named folder in My Pictures, so the all land in the same place, from all games. But you can create new folders for each game and manually drag them from the main folder to the game specific folder on your PC.
The Long Dark has an in game debug screenshot key, that saves the screenie with map co-ordinates and info about game mode, shown on the screenshot, to be used by the Devs to fix bugs or glitches without having to search for a buggged spot on the Map. Not sure if the ingame on Slime Rancher has the same function. I manually move all TLD debug screeshots I save to a folder in my Pictures library, from my Desktop Library folder. No other option, and yeah, it takes a few minutes to do so. But not a big deal for me to do this. after I am out of game and offline.
Sounds like you will have to do the same. Take a few minutes after you exit the game, move the image files to a folder in another location on your machine, and delete the quicklinks from your desktop.
