PILLAR.
Six is also the rough number of carnivores a single pen can maintain, but coops are a complete PITA compared to gardens.
If you want disturbing levels of fun, money, and vacuuming, fill the cave section with cuberry trees and let 30 or so night slimes go free-range. Just don't install the scarecrow upgrade.
So put down a gardens with carrots, upgrade the height on your starting pen, and pump about 30 pinks into it once the crop comes in.
if you're feeling really riley, pump 15 pinks into the pen, then shoot in a cat or stony plort and turn them into a writhing mass of largos for more income. Just remember to put a lid on! Just be prepared to purge the pen later on, since you only want pinks for the initial fundraising effort.
Once you know what you're doing, it's really easy to 'start' with 10-15 stony-cat largos with a couple vegetable fields. It can pay off to go as far as you can on day 1.
Start with unlocking the 'Moss Blanket' zone at the very far end of your initial starting zone once you can obtain a key. This gives you access to puddle slimes, honey slimes, boom slimes, the rare hunter slimes, as well as mango fruits. This can really help diversify your ranch. The other two areas don't offer nearly as diverse a biome.
You can fit five puddle slimes in a pond, which isn't bad considering you don't need to feed them. You know you have too many in a pond when you see them 'blush'
Zourin - in my latest ep I took your advice about the grotto, it was a lot of fun setting that up and I can't wait to see what madness ensues :) Thanks dude.
Examples:
1. I have a Pink Slime farm (garbage disposal for food I don't need) in the Overgrowth that I easily surpassed 200 Plorts on. When the price of PP rose to 14, I sold them all and got rich.
2. http://steamcommunity.com/app/433340/guides/#scrollTop=692
Very overpowered. Do this, use the upper two plots in the Grotto to store Phosphor plorts, and wait for a Phosphor price of 20-25+. Then sell them.
I got a price of 24 and sold... 400... for 9600 Newbucks in one day.
Bought the cave just so i can raise Phoshper slime/largo. I did figured out that if i plan cubbery trees and throw them around it would feed themselves. It did, and you don't need to maintain it that much. Just visit it for plort. Swim in money after that.
Yup, I took this advice for the latest ep and I can't wait to get back in there and hoover the ♥♥♥♥ out of the place :D
Cheers buddy. I'll look into those for future eps.
