Flashy lights when depositing and vaccuming up plorts etc
I really cannot play this game any more with the really bright flashy lights. Can there please be a setting integrated into the game to turn this feature off? Yeah im sure it was a cool new flashy thing to add but for someone with real pains from these types of things I speak on behalf of any other individual out there that could be hurt from flashing lights. Please integrate a button in the settings to turn this on and off.

So you have epilepsy and the flashing of selling plorts had changed so the lights are brighter and more flashy and watching that caused a seizure or did it just hurt your eyes? I'm not denying that there could be an epilepsy danger had been added to the game, cause people who don't have epilepsy won't have a seizure from lights flashing quickly, and that could easily be put into media or games. But if that is a danger it's important to report so like you said there can be a way to turn off the flashs or reduce their brightens so players with epilepsy could still play the game in peace.

I'm asking to make sure if what you're describing could be a problem, cause I haven't played the game in a long time and there's been several updates, & I do have epilepsy, so this is an important issue that needs correcting if the lights are flashing crazily fast. I haven't seen it for myself, but I trust your word. But it might help if you can get like a gif of the flashing so there's evidence.

Yet I guess a temporary solution is to shot the plorts slowly and not just hold the shoot button down. Or you could aim at the slot and hit the shoot button while you look away from the screen, cause you'll know if you're out of plorts when you hear your vack pack click, then you could switch to the next tank and do the same.
Lower particles. Most of the flashy effects are particle based. Turning off Bloom should help you too.

Hello!
Honestly, I have very sensitive eyes. I do not have epilepsy, but I do get headaches from even my pupils having to work overtime to compensate from light.
I am glad you said that epilepsy does not just mean flashing lights, because I really do not know what would be a danger to someone with epilepsy and I wanted to make sure it was addressed. I think the lights are bright and could be considered moving, but I am unsure how bright or fast is a danger to an individual with epilepsy, as well as if there already is a setting that could change it. (i will try turning off bloom as someone said and see if that helps me)
I do have to look away from the game when I play for now, and I've stopped playing for the time being, so i agree with your temporary solution. I just noticed the lights right away after an update. I have never posted or recorded a gif to steam before, so I'll try to do that in a few days if I remember. If someone else wants to post one you are welcome.

I'm glad I could add to your report :) Epilepsy which is having seizures, can be caused by rapid flashing lights, and there's many other triggers too. But the trigger depends on the individual with epilepsy. In my case I'm luckily that flashing lights don't seem to trigger seizures. I can hope as I get older, the seizures will go away. I'm sure in was an accident if the flashing lights you speak of caused a player to seize, but let's all hope that'll never happen. I'm not sure how rapid they have to flash to cause a seizure, but I'm sure it's like flashing per seconds. I'm glad that my solution ideas could help you play the game again. And to be fair, I have kinda sensitive eyes too, where if there's flashing lights of selling plorts or if a camera flash goes off in my face, lol the camera flash is the worse tho. It just stays in my eyes and it takes so many blinks for it to disappear. Slime Rancher should have a built in gif feature. I think it's if you press G a window will pop up asking you if you wanna take like a 20 second gif. But don't stress over it too hard, I'm sure there's plently of time. :)
