Tabby largos keep getting out!
So, i keep 7 largos in each of my corrals, fully upgraded, except my quantum dervish ones, I cant risk one of those getting out. Anyways, ive never had any problems with any of my other slimes escaping, even my hunter rock largos which i though for sure would get out. However, my rock tabbies keep disappearing on me! im assuming they escape and then despawn, but I will come back from the range and there will only be 5! Not sure if they can despawn on the ranch, but if they escape then they had to go somewhere... and i keep them in the grotto with all my other ones, including honey! so i would think they would collect over there, but no. Anyways, if anyone knows how to stop this, or why it keeps happening, that would be great. Additional info, i feed them with carrots, I have my rock hunters next to them, they have a big rock toy, boom pinks a bit further away, but still close, and the honey rads on the opposite side of the grotto. thanks!

oh hey, just noticed that my rock hunters are fed with heart beets... are slimes more attracted to their favorite food than normal food? that may be the issue. not sure though, other ideas are appreciated

When you put slimes in corrals they can't despawn. They can glitch through the ground. And I have tabby largos of my own, and one of them bounced clean across from its corral to a garden for some food. Lucckily I was coming back and caught the tabby largo and got it back in its corral. But I've been noticing tabby largos escaping more often. I love the tabby mixes so I made a lot of tabby largos before :3 I think the corral that's partly built when you start the game, that one has a glitched floor. I've lost slimes cause they'd glitch downward and be gone forever. One time a tabby largo was missing from the ranch, everything else was normal. I began feeding my tabbies in the corrals and the missing one like re-appeared over the ranch's wall on one side cause it jumped into me.

Anyways slimes don't actively try to escape. Tabbies are more hungry than other slimes, so you kinda have to stock up on foods for your tabby largos to full up their tabby hunger. I suggest you don't stress over the glitched out slimes you lost, and try giving them a tabby toy. Tabbies love yarnballs, so you can get on in the Moss Blanket behind a rock that an H note is in front of or you can buy it when you have the toy shop. Toys for all your slimes will help keep them content. With tabbies, maybe try giving them a bit of extra food and see if they stay put. It's important not to keep food production in sight of your slimes, cause if they haven't eaten, they could see where their food is being produced and break out of the corral to get to it. I hope I helped.

Where should i start..... okay, it´s normal finding tabby largos out of their corrals because they have a high jump capability and the air net of the corral can take a limited number of hits from these jumps thus enabling them to escape from time to time (i had this problem with my honey-tabby largos too), about the food, the difference between feeding a slime any kind of food and their favorite food is that a slime will be more happy and produce more plorts if you use their favorite food (for largos you can feed them eighter favorite of their counter-parts example: Honey-tabby largo : Mint mangos or stony hens) normal slimes will produce 2 plorts feeding them their favorite food while largos will produce 4.

They are part Rock slime, & Heart Beet is the Rock slime's favorite. It's not too much of an issue. Especially if you need a ton of plorts! They'll fill up their plort collector quickier if you feed them their favorites. But they'll still eat the normal food. I'm gonna guess, that the normal food in the corral was about to rotten so they when for the Heart Beet instead. I hope I helped :D

With largos I get them one of each toy. So give them the rock and the yarnball. The toys stay in the walls of the corrals so you don't have to chase those down randomly. Also, there's a free Big Rock. It's in the Indigo Quarry, the part that the crystal slimes' cave in it. There's a chicken nest on a platform in the center of the land mass, if you get on that nest, you'll hear thudding to the left. There'll be some slimes pushing on the Big Rock toy cause they wanna get to the food, but the Big Rock is a bit of a different shape than the other rocks & it's kinda tinted a brown color. Also, you'll know it's the Rock toy cause it's the only rock you can pick up lol :D And you're welcome with the information about the Tabbies, they are one of my most favorites so I remember more about them. A suggestion you can try out, is using the Overgrowth as a food production area, so your slimes in the other areas wouldn't see it and try to get at it. When it's out of sight of slimes, it's out of mind. :3 Good luck :D

I want to say it's a collission issue? Before I put in autofeeders and just shot a whole bunch of food into the pens for the day, I'd regularly find one or two of my tabby largos gone later. Just completely vanished. Eventually I caught one skyrocketting through the pen and into the air, nearly landing in the slime sea. None have disappeared since I put in autofeeders and cleared up their pen a bit, so that's what leads me to the collission assumption. Could be those suckers just jump really high though. Like... really, REALLY high.

i usually only keep 4 largos in my pens, it seems to keep them from being able to stress out the air-net.

7 largos is a bit much in a single corral... They're probably jumping on top of each other and then banging the air net until it temporarily disappears, and then they escape. I usually keep 3 largos in each corral, but hey. You can keep 4 if you want. Just not 7. I know it's the universal lucky number, but still. That's a few too many largos in one corral.

yeah i read that 4 is the best number to have, but the only slimes i have ever had trouble with are my tabby largos. I keep seven of all my other ones, and they never, ever get out. one time one of my mosaic tangles got out, but that is because i grow their fav food right next to them so they can just reach out and get it. so the whole 7 is too many argument isn't valid. I will be chucking one of those suckers however, next time one gets out i ain't putting it back lol. thanks for responding and trying however. im sure they are jumping through the roof, i just find it strange none of my other do that so i was wondering what is special about tabby largos.

Tabbies are basically cat slimes and Cats can jump very high and are probably more active, or at least the tabbies are active lol. I know whenever I see mine, they wanna boop my head every time they see me :3 They are very playful, and I guess the other slimes are pretty chill. But I don't blame the tabbies :3 I wanna hug all the tabby slimes :D
