Tangle Slime Tips?
Alright, I need educating...anyone have tips on ranching tangle slimes?
I really have no idea how to handle them without making tars, but I need the plorts for slime science so might as well give it another try!

I really wanted to make a boom/tangle largo, but I feel like that is a recipe for disaster.

If you don't care about slime science then just have a bunch of free range tangle slimes on the main ranch and the lab. Fill the plots with gardens and fill those with prickle pears or silver parsnips, depending if you want mosaic or dervish. You could also have tangle dervish and tangle mosaic if you wanted

I'd say largo them with something that likes fruit or veggies, then place the favorite fruit/veggie in the adjoining plots. I've got mine crossed with dervishes, and prickle pear trees next to them.

Alternate options for adjoining plots would be incinerators, ponds, chicken coops (if you don't mind them helping themselves), silos, or anything besides another slime who's plorts they can eat. As far as I know, tangles can't reach beyond the plot next to them, so that should keep things under control.

Now booms will send their plorts all over the place when they blow, so something to keep in mind if you put other largos in the same area as them.

I made mine largo's with Quantums since those are also a huge pain and I let just that kind of slime roam freely in the open field area of the ranch (to the west). It sucks up the entire zone but I made several plots grow parsnips which gets me tons of double-plorts and I use the spare plots for storage and other stuff. Seems to work out. I have 1+ of every single type of slime in the game on my ranch and several plots to spare so letting them roam free is totally worth it.

I put my (second) tangle slime pit in the part of the ranch where all the chickens spawn
that way they can eat without me coming around to often
my other things there are a silo a pond and a coop for colored chickens (which I just breed, not feed :D)
my first tangle slime thingy is in the always mentioned lab areay

I love the look of dervish tangles and tabby tangles so I put corrals of those two in the overgrowth where they can help themselves to the chickens that spawn in there. I rarely need to add to the feeding.

Keep their corral far away from another corral so that they don't eat the other slimes plorts with their vines

Not needed, only prevent them form beeing next to another corral in a two corral spot or a 4 corral spot. In 4 corral spots you can place 2 slime corrals IF you place them diagonally. They can't reach that far. Mixed mine with mosaic and made a sliver carrot field next to them so they can feet automatically on parts of that field.

You could just put them in a corral in the overgrowth. They're far enough away from the other plots that they can't reach in with their vines.

i have a solution that i use. Isolate them (i.e. put them in the docks, grotto, lab,or overgrowth alone

For the tangles I have, I used a corral next to the lab, away from everything else, and in the four plots in front of the lab, the chickens I need to feed them.

i put tangle/devrish largo in an isolated place for themselves, i put em in the dock section only for 2 pen of devrish tangle and their food prickled pear. they dont need feeding as they just reach the food beside them.

Put them in your Overgrowh. There are no other corrals around therefore there would not be any plorts spawning. Also, a load of chickens spawn in the overgrowth and that could kinda keep them fed.

i have my tangle-honey slimes in the area right before you hit the docks no slimes get out really and there is an infinite amount of chickens, they are the only slimes i have in that area, and in a corral they can still eat the chickens, but i mixed them with honey so they could eat fruit and be easy to maintain:)
