Aside from the standard hullubula about taking regular breaks, there isn't much in the way of settings to help with motion sickness. More people need to write about this on the official forums, because there is a real risk of blindness going on here.
Apart from that, to be honest I think the movement is set a little too fast for more sensitive eyes. With shift and boost boots available for those that want faster running it would be nice if initial speed was slowed a little. Maybe a walking-boot could be added as an initial upgrade option as a work-around for those struggling with motion-sickness or similar?
Being to sick to think straight, I just walked away from the computer and went and layed down for
a long while (the vertigo lasted the entire rest of the day). Forgetting the game was still counting hours, and now I believe I'm passed the refund time on steam.
So if anyone does have any suggestions to help reduce motionsickness I would also appreciate it!
(Motionsickness in gaming is something I have never been prone to before
As a poster above said, increasing (or sometimes reducing) the FOV usually helps. Playing the game in a smaller window can help. Other than that I don't really know what you could do with this game, it doesn't have a lot of options to play around with. Keep in mind too that it could be a legit health issue not being caused by the game, so I'd be cautious of that.
(it's terrible because I have phobia of vomitting so feeling nauseous is litterally the worst. I always forget and stop playing the game for multiple weeks/month, than forgot why I stopped playing the game since I like it a lot, start again, and experience this huge pain again.)
I'll try the tricks in this thread another day.
(btw, I play a lot of games, I love FPS genra, the only other game that gave me motion sickness this crazy this quick is like CS:Source or something, never remember the one, the old very blocky one. )
