How To Successfully Search For Gilded Ginger!

Gilded Ginger for those who are new to the game is a mythical veggie that is found growing in the Glass Desert. However, only 1 grows per day, and it grows in a random area each time. Also, the Slimepedia Entry for Gilded Ginger says that because of its unusual biological properties, it cannot be grown in a garden. But it does say that there's another use for it. Hint: Mess around with Slime Science and try using the Gilded Ginger on different things. Most of the time it will spawn in areas without many wild slimes. Areas like hidden ledges, hidden pockets, and near the purple grass patches and little circular rock formations that are seen everywhere are excellent places to look. And keep track of where you found a piece of Gilded Ginger in the past. I suggest putting a teleporter on the build site where the Mosaic Gordo is/was. The tunnel/shortcut that is revealed when you pop the Mosaic Gordo is an excellent place to search for Gilded Ginger, as I have found 2 out of the 5 pieces that I have there! And another thing, you don't have to worry about the Gilded Ginger being eaten by a wild slime. Reason being is because Gilded Ginger will stay in the ground where it's growing until you vac it up. The only things you have to worry about is accidentaly having it fall of a ledge into the sand sea or slime sea, (depending wether or not you're in the Glass Desert with your piece(s) of Gilded Ginger) having a wild slime eat it if you vac it out of the ground in a weird way, or having the Tarr rot it when they spawn in. Gilded Ginger is the favorite food of the Gold Slime, and if you are far enough in the 7Zee Rewards Club, you'll have an upgrade called "Golden Sureshot", which allows you to get 3 gold plorts from 1 Gold Slime. But if you have Golden Sureshot AND some Gilded Ginger, then you'll get 6 gold plorts (I think) from 1 Gold Slime! You'll know when you find a piece of Gilded Ginger beacuse it will most likely be growing on its own, (Sometimes they can grow near an oasis or near wild slimes) and Gilded Ginger has a very tall stem on it and it sparkles. posting here just so i can keep an eye on the thread, but i hope you'll let us know if you're able to confirm how many plorts you get from feeding one to a gold slime. any if anyone could use the map to mark out the exact locations where they've spawned, i'm sure anyone in the guide section would greatly appreciate it. :)

They spawn randomly throughout the Far, Far Range. But there is a HUGE cluster spawn of them when you enter the 3rd Hobson Vault which is located in the Moss Blanket. I'm waiting till I have 10 Gilded Ginger. Right now I have 5 of them, and I'm going CRAZY hunting for them. So when I do get to feeding a Gold Slime a Gilded Ginger then I will let you know ASAP! :D

Thank you for this thread! I have yet to find a ginger and its sort of driving me crazy at this point. I played for two days now, ignoring my ranch and running around the Glass Desert to no avail. I'll certainly let you know when I find one!

Good to know my friend! I have just found my 6th Gilded Ginger! When I aquire 10 of them I will go to Hobson's 3rd secret vault and let all of you know how many gold plorts you get from a Gold Slime with the Gilded Ginger and Golden Sureshot combined! Stay tuned! :D

I've only found 1 Ginger and it was immediately eaten by a wild tangle slime. Been searching for another one for a couple hours..

one single gilded ginger spawns once per day randomly in the glass desert.. it literary can be anywhere.

note that they look similar to silver whatchamakallits while in the dirty but have a slightly larger model and sparkle

sorry a bit of bad wording on my part, i meant to map out the locations of gilded gingers that people have found. also, i don't think the moss blanket vault is very good for testing out how many plorts a gilded ginger would yield as there are many gaps in the floor where they could potentially fall in. but i have a personal goal of getting 100 gilded gingers, putting a gordo tucked in that corner in the docks, putting 75 gilded gingers around it, then popping it with the other 25 to see how many plorts i get as a result lmao. once i leard the locations enough to get one every day without fail, it's just a matter of time~

As i already said in my previous comment: i got 5 gold plorts. and that makes kinda sense; however we are all expecting 9 plorts.

Here i got a little request when you finished your goal to collect 10 and go into the vault, could you pay attention on a little detail: in wich order do the plorts appear or do the spawn all at once?

just some random thoughts:

• gold slimes give one plort when you poke them with something
  
• this can be tripled with the golden sure shot upgrade
  
• if you feed a slime he produces one plort, if it's the favourite food it'll give two (double the amount)
  
• you can feed gold slimes only with the gilded ginger wich happens do be their favourite food

So you can shuffle this operation in many ordes and get diffrent solutions e.g.:

1. If you feed a gslime with a ginger it produces 3 plorts, this can be tripled by the upgrade so we end up with 9
   
2. if a gslime eats a ginger it produces 2 plorts, this can be tripled with sure shot so we end up with 6
   
3. if you feed a gslime with a ginger it actually pokes the gslime wich produces one plort wich can be tripled with the upgrade and than he eats it wich produces 2 plorts so we end up with 5

i think the last option is what actually happens 1*3 +2 =5

There is no huge patch of Gilded Ginger. I said a huge spawn of Gold Slimes when you enter the Hobson Vault in the Moss Blanket.

Let me just say for the record that it would take absolutely FOREVER to get 100 Gilded Gingers. But good luck with that if that's what you're planning on doing! :D
