Some slime gates are pointless
After a few hours exploring I have found that some gates designed to act as a progression block are pointless. the Moss Blanket gate can be bypassed 2 ways one is fly over it. The other is fly around to the exit ramp used to get above the hollow trunk. The other is in the Dry reef that acts as a shortcut around that area another that you can just use ledges to fly over. If they are meant to stop progression there should be better QA to make sure they cant be bypassed. and nothing sucks more than wasting a key to open a area you already have open in the case of the quarry and moss area having 2 doors and the shortcut in dry reef.

actually, i've heard the we lack one key to open every door and all 3 vaults which in my case will mean i won't unlock the shortcut between the dry reef and the overgrowth

I've opened all doors and vaults so there are enough keys for it

ah yeah the vaults, haven't went to look for them, kinda was too lazy. should also seek the last remaining gordo.

I understand the not wasting keys. My issue is in the early game you open the door between the Dry Reef and Overgrowth what did you actually gain progression wise except a path. No new slimes and if you blow your first key there not knowing better that might piss off some players. Doors should be reserved for progression blocking hence having to hunt down the keys. And the Moss Blanket door should have better blocking that is a progression door that is undone by the jetpack in two to 3 ways. Then you have the useless doors before the Ruins because you pay a key then you also have to have the right plorts then you see another door and if you already have that area open that is another disappointment . When you open a area it should open all doors to that area. This is just bad game design keys are a reward system and if that reward leads to nothing special it can be a let down.
