how to access the soundtrack

i just bought it and i have no idea how to listen to the music

First check the DLC section on the Slime Rancher entry in your Steam library. If it says "Not Installed", make sure the box next to the soundtrack is checked (you might need to uncheck and check it).

Once it's downloaded, go to your Steam folder and open \steamapps\common\Slime Rancher\Soundtrack and it'll all be in there.

When I buy the game without the OST-DLC, then the tracks aren't in the game, are they?

but to answer your question, well you still have music in game even if you havent bought the ost dlc, but you cant listen to them outside, like on a separate player. i mean, as far as i know you could still just listen to them on youtube as well lol.
