Minimum system requirements help
Hi everybody, I was wondering if someone could help me determine if I can run Slime Rancher on my laptop? I did purchase the game before but had severe lag issues and refunded the game, but seeing all these new updates made me want to give it another go.

I'm not very good with tech stuff, and googling rarely helps because it doesn't tell me if what I have is sufficient/more powerful than the minimum.

These should be my system information.

OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel(R) COre(TM) i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.40 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8.00GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics 4400 (I think)
DirectX: 11 (I think)

I should have enough storage too.

For reference, I am able to run these games:
Runs well with minimal issues: Angels of Death, LiEat, Hustle Cat, Hatoful Boyfriend, Stardew Valley, Don't Starve (most of these are easy games that don't require godly computers)

Runs sufficiently with occasional lag/ runs well with low graphic settings and resolution: Bastion, Transistor, Tyto Ecology, Niche, possibly Hollow Knight

Thank you!

Slime Rancher is better on PC or a very good laptop.

It should run at 22 to 40 FPS everything low at 720P, I also have a 6 years old walmart laptop and that is how it runs

I don't have a PC, and I don't know how good/bad my laptop is, but I do know it's at least average.

Does it lag a lot?

I don't think it's a good idea. Those CPU and GPU are not made for gaming and Slime Rancher is quite demanding (because of all the particles effects and physics of the bouncing slimes). I have a gaming laptop (with a powerful built-in fan) and the temperatures can get really high when playing the game for more than half an hour, and I'm using a cooling pad as well. If you had severe lag issues before, now it will probably be worse than ever.

Oh dear D: thanks for your advice! I'll hold off on it then.

a core i5-3210M can run the game at 60fps (paired with intel hd graphics 4000) on the lowest settings, so i don't see how an i7 and 4400 is giving you less that 60fps.
