camera issues - wacom tablet
so, I do pretty much everything on my computer with a wacom drawing tablet/trackpad, and have been doing so for years. my drawing tablet works fine with all other first person games I've played thus far, but in the case of slime rancher, the game won't recognize my tablet pen's movements and move the camera as thus. if I click using the pen, it recognizes that just fine, I just can't move the camera using my drawing tablet/tablet pen.

it's not exactly a major issue as I can use my laptop trackpad to move the camera if needs be, but it is kind of annoying and I'd like to know if anyone has any solutions?

(for those who haven't used drawing tablets before, moving the pen above the trackpad area of the tablet moves the onscreen mouse just the same way your average mouse would, and it behaves pretty much the exact same as a mouse, just with more control)

I don't think this is a major issue because using drawing tablets to play videogames is quite unusual. A drawing tablet can be use as a mouse, but it's a digital tool for creative purposes. Laptop trackpads aren't good for gaming either.

However, I think this might be considered like a controller issue (since it's also an input device not working properly) so you may contact support to see if they can help. Check this discussion.

Just for giggles, I tried out my old Intuos3 9"x12" (PTZ930) tablet to see if it works.

Seems to work fine in Mouse mode with the stylus. Pen mode with absolute positioning rather than relative was a trainwreck though. It feels absolutely terrible to me of course, since I'm used to a mouse+KB for FPS games, but it does seem to work okay on my tablet with driver version 6.1.5-3 and Win10 64-bit.

thanks for your responses! I realise that my choice of mouse is weird, but after using my tablet for so long I actually dislike using a regular mouse, lol. I'll be sure to check out the controller discussion, although I think most of the issues there are towards gamepads.

and, yeah, pen mode is usually catastrophic for first person games. but if your one works fine in mouse mode, then maybe there's something wrong with my one? I probably need to change the permissions for the game or something. thanks in any case!

Have you gotten your tablet to work with the game? My Cintiq pen/mouse movement isn't detected either. :(
