Can you grow things underground

Probably a stupid question but i upgraded a garden completely underground without realising it was underground. Will it still grow?

Gardens will work the same no matter where you put them.

Underground? I'm not aware of underground expansions, but if you're asking if you can grow stuff in the Grotto then the answer is yes :D The Grotto can grow crops as well as any other location. It doesn't matter to the crops to get engulfed in sunlight or not. I think it's because the soil upgrade is so good, that it can grow the crops healthy despite not being able to get much sun or that the alien crops that Slimes eat can grow without being exposed to sun or can grow in the sun. Don't be afraid to ask questions :D The community is very positive and happy to help out their fellow Slime Ranchers :D

I had this same question when i first started playing! I think it would be really cool if gardens made in the grotto could have an artificial light upgrade ! So it makes more sense. So without the light theyd still grow but maybe produce half the amount of food and with the light full amount !

that could be like the delux coop upgrade, incresses crop yeald. mabye up to 20 for all crops and like 30 for carrot and pogofruit
