No Tangle Slimes!

I have finally gotten to the Glass Desert, and I want to get some tangle-mosaic slimes. I have restored about 3-4 oasis' and now the place is INFESTED with mosaic slimes, but not a single tangle slime. Does anyone know what is going on here?

There should be a spot they spawn within reach of the rock plort fountain. If that doesn't work you could try feeding the gaint tangle up in the structure by the fountain too.

If you are facing the tangle gordo, on the left side the small structure with the ancient flower with a ramp that spawns tangle slimes after restoring that oasis.
Check this screenshot (right flower area)[i.imgur.com].

You can also pop the tangle gordo: it will spawn a lot of tangle slimes and once you pop it you will have a useful teleporter that takes you back home.

I had actually went home before this to the ranch and harvested the 300+ plorts and fed the hungry slimes, thinking "I'll NEVER find any tangle slimes..." when I thought "Mabye I can catch one with a trap! So I set up a trap pad and put a painted hen on it. Now I wait...

I think it's easier to go to the glass desert and feed the tangle gordo with chickens...

That's how I got my tangle slimes. I just scooped them up when I popped the Gordo. However they do spawn like crazy when you get to that last fountain. I have found that a few tangles go a long way.

Actually, have beenright next to the tangle fountain before. It is next to a certain, creepy, cactus, right? no tange slimes.

That area from my screenshot (right ancient flower) always spawns tangle slimes for me and I'm not hte only one who have said that it's easy to find tangle slimes there. You can see in my screenshot I got 6 tangle slimes there and there are a few tangle largos around. I'm not sure at all, but maybe you have to pop the tangle gordo first to see tangle slimes spawning in the desert (kind of like restoring the oasis to see mosais slimes). Anyway, why not feed the tangle gordo and get the tangle slimes? It's no big deal and you will get a teleporter.
