Absolute Hatered of Quantum Slimes
I HATE quantum slimes, with an absolulte passion. They are far to dangerous to have on the farm and getting to them to get plorts for them is just too rediculous. Today I lost just about everything on my farm and with no way to backup save it's going to take me quite a while to restore it.

How did I loss everything? Because I tried to farm quantum slimes. Some say put quantum slimes in the overgrowth with some fruit trees and let them roam free. BAD IDEA. They will float and teleport all over the place and if you try to vac them all up cause you decided that they're too much to handle, too bad cause I garentee some of them have already gotten out and into the rest of your farm. I lost everyone of my hunter slimes, crystal slimes, rad slimes, and boom slime today because ONE escaped phase slime getting to the rest of my farm.

Listen to my tale and be warned. DO NOT FARM PHASE SLIMES! Don't bring them any where remotely near your farm or you could lose everything. You have been warned.

...

On a side note, it really is a shame they are so hard to keep cause quantum slimes are adorable and easily one of my favorites

Yeah, it's a shame that we actually got a slime that's difficult to corral! /s

While I agree they are hard to keep it really shouldnt take that long to collect those slimes. Other than the hunters, the rest you mentioned is about 15 minute trip to collect at the quarry. Even the hunters if your're making largos just go to the island in the jungle with all the boom variety to collect their plorts. I for one love the quantums and keep a tabby variety of them in the overgrowth no problem. Dont understand why so many people are having trouble with them.

there is one plot in the back of the lab, I wonder if that would be a good place to put them.

I have no idea what the perfect strat is but I'll share mine:

You need to keep Quantums fed and they will be fine.

I keep only 1 Quantum Slime. I made it a Tabby Hybrid. It is corraled in the grotto. Chickens do not rot like fruits or veggies, so I can keep my corral stocked with chickens. This makes sure the Quantum Tabby never goes hungry while I explore.

Yeah, hopefully it won't take too long to get them back. My problem was I was having problem just keeping normal slimes happy let alone try to keep a teleporting slime happy. I might try a much much smaller batch after I get the rest of my slimes resituated again.

Yeah, money is not a problem for me at this time so I only have small batches of hybrids to take care of. I don't want to spend too much time farming. Less slimes = more exploration for me :).

it's best to keep them in well contained grotto. but keep them overfed- double of what you'd normally give your slimes to keep them happy- and they should (hopefully) be fine. grotto as a security measure just in case.

I keep my quantum slimes next to my workshop and away from other slimes so I dont get largos or tarr. the three plots nearby are two fruit trees and a chicken coop. It seems to keep them relatively under control.

As others have said- keeping my slimes in the Grotto and fed has worked best. Additionally my best method has been to merge them with a Phos. Slimes. I have 4 total free range Quantum Slimes. The Grotto appears to be difficult for them to get out as is, but if they do, morning sun will hopefully eliminate most chances of tars. Also one of each fruit tree inside. Hope this helps!

I have 6 crystal quantum largo slimes right next to 30 pink slimes and 6 tabby pink largo slimesand I have absolutly no problem. I give them their favorite foods and make sure they always have extra and it is perfectly fine for me, they haven't escaped yet and I've had this setup for around 20 in game days. I had no idea people were having so many problems with these slimes...

I keep ten quantum slimes (not largos) corralled in the overgrowth and they're fine. Occasionally one gets out, but it can eat whatever fruit is lying around there. I keep my chicken coop there and have two ponds with puddle slimes. I have two quantum lemon trees (which are ready to harvest ~5 minutes after you plant a lemon) and use an autofeeder, so they are never hungry. They rarely escape and don't do any damage when they do.

Tbh I've had more problems with boom largos shooting plorts halfway across my ranch. Not sure if that's intentional or not, but they can launch them to the entrance to the Overgrowth all the way from their corral on the opposite side.

keep boom varients together, mixed boom largos = bad idea

on the other hand, quantum slimes really are best pink or hunter with chickens as food.

i keep my 5 Quantum's in the cave with some puddles since ive got nothing else to put in there. They dont "load in" till you walk into the cave and ive got an infinite source of water to splash them with while i get puddle plorts or feed them

Where do you find these? I've gone all over and popped every gordo I can find, opened every slime door I can find, explored every transporter I can find, and have never seen a quantum slime.

only in the new ruins area. there's a path in the first part of the moss blanket, and another past the 1way home warp in the indigo quarry. both will need a slime key.
