Hunter largos are a nightmare now!
As I was exploring the ruins I wasn't able to feed my slimes. As a result, all of my honey hunter largos became feral. When I approached their corral they lunged at me and broke through the air net. I was able to subdue them the first time that happened with some mint mangos but I wasn't fast enough the second time. The second time they went feral and broke out they created two tars. I was able to kill one of them but by the time I noticed the second one they had already killed all of my pink rock largos. The hunter largos are just too much to deal with now when they go feral. I've decided I'm going to execute all my hunter largos and store 50 hunter plorts away for later. If I need more hunter plorts later I'll either put their corral far away from other slimes or I'll make hunter phosphor largos and put them in a corral under the sun. If they dare escape from said corral during the daytime they'll die before they can get my other slimes killed. I figure if I only approach that corral during the day the quarantine should be effective.

have you tried auto-feeders?

Yeah, it's just that when I want to explore I can't tend my gardens or feed my slimes. I'm simply out exploring for too long. As a result of this. Whenever I go back near the hunter largo corral they'll go feral and break out.

What I do is I dedicate the entire 'overgrowth' area to hunters so they always have something to eat. It sucks having to run around to find all the plots at times but I prefer it to dealing with a feral outbreak.

That's a good idea.

I did the same with Tabby Hunters.
They are mostly tame, but at night it becomes a real issue trying to get to the Docks.

since going feral is connected to hunger, not happiness, slime toys don't really help with them. i always keep a taming bell setup by their corral just in case. also sometimes as a food bell lol.

I've actually never had a problem with my hunter slimes when feral. :slimescared: I would recommend using slime science and trying the little 'tame bell' and also the idea of secluding them down in the caves as phosphor hunters might be a good idea too .
I don't think this works that well, but if you get high enough level in the new rewards club you can make toys and make hunter specific toys for them-- though, I haven't seen it help against feral-ness much

A good idea is to place the taming bell near them. When they are feral, just ring it and they'll turn hungry.

I think the plushy toy helps, but I'd alsoagree that ringing the taming bell is the best thing you can do to tame them. Speaking of it, does anyone know what radius the bell has?

Also, if they break out you should probably reduce their numbers. I have 4 and they never broke out. You could also just combine them with your quantum slimes so they'll have their own free roam area.

for the bell's radius, as well as hydro turrets, is about the size of a rad gordo's aura i think. give or take how much its fed since the aura grows with it.
