you need to do loads of extractor rounds, or just make a lot of them. either works i think.

have TONS of money and have all 18 resouce harversters going
it should appear
you have to at least get 100 cycles off of extractors i believe...

- novice extractors: 1 cycle
- advanced extractors: 3 cycles

hope this helps! :3

wait i thought it was 100 buildings built in total game lifetime that causes the mk3 to be buyable

just make 100 gadgets. basically just make 100 basic drills.
I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with cycles because i got it today after crafting my 100th gadget

Has nothing to do with cycles, build 100 items from the lab. I just made a bunch of basic drills, pumps, etc.

I think you need 100 extraction cycles in total so just make about 9 Titan Drill extractors or 34 advanced drills or 100 novice drills

Hope dis helps

I just looked at the wiki and the answer is: 100 ITEMS fabricated
everyone who's saying you just need 100 extractor cycles are wrong (unless they're talking about the novice ones).

You just have to make 100 gadgets. Any gadget works. The cycles don't matter.

this thread is so old...

Just for clarification: after getting the "build 100 gadgets achievement" nothing happened, but after deploying those gadgets the treasure cracker unlocked - meaning you indeed have to deploy 100 gadgets. It seems as though redeployments don't count (no kidding) and teleporters may count for 2

You just need to build them. It has a delay afterwards before you can buy it but you don't need to deploy them.

Unlock the 'Never Stop Building' achievement, shortly after, like a day in slime rancher, you should get a thing pops up and says 'New Vac-pac Upgrade Avalible!' with a picture of a treasure pod beneath. The Treasure Cracker Mk III costs 25,000, just wanted to let you know.

Hope this helps :3

I personally think that this is really counter-intuitive. Ideally the treasure cracker upgrades should be found within one of the pods or unlocked by finding a certain number of pods. It makes no sense to seperate the reward from the feature the reward is used for. It would be like preventing the player from adding sprinklers to garden plots unless you have captured 100 slimes from the wild.

Think you are missing a couple things in that logic. First, the pods were added with slime science as a method to hide away blueprints. Second, the pods contain blue prints, slime science resources, and some times gold plorts (which are used in a couple recipes.)

So how is it counter intuitive to have the need to craft slime science gadgets, when the pods them selves contain gadget blue prints or resources to make said gadgets. It isn't exactly putting a distance between the key to its lock as you implied, since the two are designed to be part of the same deal.
