Hunter Slime
Do the hunter slimes have to be in the Grotto or in a corral with a solar shield? I've made a world called Tabby Hunt and I'm planning on having a bunch of Tabby slimes in the overgrowth, and just watching them hunt. I would like to add hunters into the mix, but I don't think they can be out at day. If they were Hunter-Tabby largos would it work or would it be the same?

They don't need solar shielding like phosphor slimes do.

Only Phosphor slimes (the lavender winged lit slimes) are the ones that need to be in the grotto or have solar shield corrals. But I can see your confusion with Hunters coming out around or mostly at night time. But Hunter slimes aren't sensitive to light. They are like any other slime, they can be in day light and be fine. And the overgrowth, I found is a great "babysitting" area, if you have slimes but you need to work on getting them a corral first somewhere else on the ranch. You can fill the overgrowth with gardens & let one kind of slimes roam freely. Also, chickens do spawn in the overgrowth, so if you let your hunter tabbies roam back there, they'll be fine :D And when create largos, you can feed the largo whatever the 2 slimes it's a mixed of and it'll be happy. I hope I helped :D

I have done this already. I have a setup that works well for me. The main ranch is all gardens with 2 mint mango gardens close to the overgrowth (housing my personal Honey-Tabby slime) The lab has 5 slime corrals (one honey boom, one hunter rad, one tabby phosphor, one rock crystal and the last corral having honey pink slimes) the overgrowth is used as an apiary, with a lot more honey tabby slimes in it, with 3 gardens and 1 silo which I'l have to removes. I have been playing this game alot recently, and I've seen alot of videos about it, so I know about the chikens spawning near the back and phosphor slimes. I was confused because in the description (of the solar shield I think or the Grotto) it said it was good for housing slimes sensitive to light, and I've always seen hunter slimes in the Grotto or with a solar shield. Thanks anyway though, hopefuly a newer player will stumble across this and see that comment :slimehappy:
