The Remaster works on Modern PCs. I haven't used the disc version since Windows 7 I think.
I mainly played it on an old XP laptop I had setup as an emulation box, but I think I had it working on 7 too.
If it does work on 7 and you have Win 11 Pro, you can boot up a Windows 7 VM right in Windows 11 as a sorta subsystem since that's a feature built right into Windows 11 Pro. (I don't think it's available on Win 11 Home)
Regarding running Marvel: Ultimate Alliance on modern PCs, using a Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) with compatibility properties could be a viable solution, especially for those with Windows 10/11 Home. I've successfully applied this method to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which is 4 years newer.
Theoretically, this approach could work for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, allowing players to run the game without relying on Hyper-V. However, I don't have a copy to test this method.
Best of Luck
works absolutely fine on the deck though.
