You can check which version you are running under Start -> Computer -> System Properties. Fortunately my main desktop is running windows 10.

so how do I update it then? since i have service pack 1

My bad. I just checked apparently Service Pack 2 was actually just a bunch of updates and the system reports service pack 1 no matter what. Its weird because the store page says Windows 7 SP2 (service pack 2). So I don't know whats going on with our computers. Sorry for the confusion. Thats why I just Deleted the comment.

But on the requirements for the game it says "Windows 7 SP2", which is why it confused me

Yeah a few months ago there was apparently a series of updates 200 some updates designed to serve as SP2 for windows 7. It was automatic everyone should have it. It will say service pack 1 though where I told you to check.

Yes it does say service pack 1, on the store it says MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7 SP2 64-bit, which is weird/annoying

I don't know if it might be related. Are you using a laptop? Activision has basically screwed up on every game of theirs I have tried on my laptop. Except for deadpool, none of them run. I haven't tried COD. I was not able to play Amazing Spider Man until I got a Desktop.

It was obvious with Amazing Spider Man because there was a launcher window that would tell your graphics card did not meet the minimum requirements even if it did (just becuase it did not recognize laptop graphics cards) and the game refused to launch from there. Maybe this game is hiding a similar mechanism.

Maybe, but the devs said theyre going to release a patch soon that fixes pretty much everything, so can't wait for that

solved it! I had to redownload Visual C++ Redistributable from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=30679. There is a file that has 64x in name you need that one.

That link doesn't work, but is the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 the correct one?
ajg202120 Aug 1, 2016 @ 10:36pm
I did 2012
ajg202120 Aug 1, 2016 @ 10:38pm
You will have to copy and paste the link. I tried it just now it does not work from here. But copy + past works
Smamerino Aug 1, 2016 @ 10:38pm
