Local multiplayer control issues
I wanted to play this with the kids, I thought I knew how to get around the controller issue... oh boy the controller issues get worse with more players.

I use a nvidia shield to stream to the living room since we also have a toddler. It works so much better then the steam link. All controllers are seen as a xbox 360 controller even when using other controllers. And yes its setup for the computer to see multiple controllers witch Steam can see 2 controllers.

Iv been using the steam controller setup from the community which is amazing and works great! But when another player is in things get weird.

So when setting up 2 player both using the controller we both can move our own individual character. But using any face buttons on player 1 player 2 also does. So when I jump my sons character also jumps. But when player 2 presses a face button he only controls himself.

So I setup a new controller scheme for controller 2. This time using a keyboard setup and the new controller scheme using those controls. I set everything up but there were no buttons in the controls menu to show which button changes characters... so I cant set it up completely.

Anyone know how I can get around this?

Having the same issue where the second player buttons control both players, third player buttons control all 3 players and fourth player buttons control all four players. This only affects the buttons. Movement is not affected.

This is probably a game issue so not sure if there's a way to fix this.

Edit: nevermind, looks like the fix is to disable Steam's controller configuration support. Details here:
